Is there any point to filing an xbox live tampering complaint? Just curious- if anyone here knows the answer.
well if enough complaints are filed against you, you get banned for 24-48 hours up to a week. im not exactly sure what the process of judging time is. however you will be banned if you report people all willy nilly for abusing reporting. id assume its 20 or so reports or something against an account within a certain timeframe will get you banned. 3 days as an educated guess. im really not sure on exact details sorry. player reviews however do almost nothing and you can do on a whim if you feel like it. however, nobody really uses them unless they are mad from my experience [and reviews ] and the only thing it changes is rep, and to boot that only the account user can see personally.
Send a message to Jety or I with the Gamertag and a description of what they were doing. Banhammer gets antsy.
Saw a new guy at the top of most of the leaderboards the other day with like 8967482897692487629875 kills/earnings If I see someone Blatantly skywalking/cheating ect. I always file a negative review and complaint.
What exactly is reportable? Assassin speed glitching? I see that more often than I see pigeons in a mall parking lot. It's like speed glitching has become a perfectly ordinary thing to do.
Is it at all possible for Uber to get specific feedback from XBL? I've always assumed that when I submit negative feedback for a player, the game they're playing is logged. Surely (giant leap) XBL could forward that data to Uber and Uber could then make decisions based on that data.
Generally I ask people nicely to stop after the round and warn them that I will start cheating if they do not stop. If they don't leave and they are still cheating then I go and shoot down the enemy ball with no remorse.
Im sorry but telling someone not to cheat and then doing it yourself is hypocritical and doesn't solve a single thing all your doing is giving people the chance to report you... I've only reported 1 person to an admin on here and that's because i had played 10+ matches against them. And most the time a glitcher/cheater can't play they game so they feel the need to cheat because they cry hacker to somebody for killing them a ton...
I think you're slightly confused. If I said cheating was bad and then I cheated when no one was looking that would make me a hypocrite. I am effectively saying to these people, "hey jerk stop ruining the game for the rest of us." About 95% of the time people leave or they stop. If they don't I shoot down their ball real quick and then they leave. I do it because it actually gets results. I don't do it often as most people aren't going to affect the game even if they cheat. What bothers me are the people who are decent and can't beat you without cheating but can beat you when they cheat. I'm so used to the assassin speed hack that it slides under the radar (which is truly sad). Usually it's some sniper who is poking his rifle through indestructible glass who has been cheating the whole match. I quietly take the abuse for a game and then ask him to stop.
I've only reported players who I see leaving the playable boundaries of a map. I don't report assassins for speeding unless they do it excessively. Sometimes, due to extreme latency, I'll randomly get the speed bug on me, so I can understand it happening to others unwillingly. I haven't seen anyone sniping through solid cover, but I'm not sure if that's exactly grounds for reporting someone.
I usually don't bother trying to report, but I hand out reviews constantly. If I see someone abusing a glitch, I'll give them a negative "poor sportsmanship" review. It doesn't have any real effect on their rating, but it's at least supposed to make it less likely that I play with them again.
