We want to know, but we can't know.

Uber doesn't even know the release date.

Uber couldn't tell us even if they wanted to, and if they did make up a date, it would likely be wrong due to the fluidity of game development.

Uber wants to give us a top quality game. Not a buggy, half finished, rushed release like Battlefield 4.

I'm glad they canceled Generals 2. They killed C&C and they needed to leave it alone before they ruined it further.

Pay to Win RTS disguised as Free to Play? &*#$ no.

I am so mad at EA for killing the C&C series.

I got to play the alpha of the game when I was at the Gamescom in Cologne. My first impressions weren't so much that the whole pay to win thing would become a problem. But the game seemed to have some odd design decisions. Unit proportions were rather bloated, in a pretty small map. They also drastically changed the order at which you would build your structures. It all didn't make much sense, and it made the game feel really stale.

Eventually the game was cancelled due to the gameplay, not the payment model.

It seems like they were trying to capture the starcraft II gameplay because starcraft II is popular right now. They even had oil act as vespene gas at one point.

After watching the replays of the live streams it seems we could get a update early next week.

But isn't it nearly 10pm where Uber is based in the US? It is 2.30am in England.
If they update soon that is some hard work and dedication from Uber...

Nope, 6:30 pm (Uber is in Washington State, which is UTC -8 I think). But it is getting a little on the late side for a release.

Theoretically, but I can't imagine that they'd be in the office for much more than an hour or two, tops. They could always surprise us though (fingers crossed).
