    People shouldn't listen to music while doing homework because truthfully it does cause distraction from focus, despite how much people claim to calm them down during hardship in school work.

    Regardless, I listen to instrumental music.

    Great stuff, but I have trouble listening to music while doing something else that requires thinking such as doing schoolwork, playing video games, etc. My mind needs to concentrate on one or the other.

    Back when I was in school doing homework, I mostly listened to industrial music from the Waxtrax era of industrial. Front 242, Nitzereb, Mussolini Headkick, Lead into Gold, KMFDM, Revolting Cocks, etc.

    I have a hard time even finding some of those bands nowadays, since I had a lot of those albums on cassette tape, and others that were on CD came out before the Redbook Audio standards were really enforced and can't be played properly most of the time :|
