Start with Meshuggah, the creators of that "genre" of metal. Also look into Animals as Leaders as well as Periphery.

I saw Meshuggah in concert once, when they opened for Tool. A girl in the row behind me described their performance as "biblical." I've never bothered to listen to Meshuggah since.

Other than that, some things that come to mind:

    - Gru
    - Cloudkicker
    - Bulbs soundclick account (think the third time I posted this link on this forum[/url]

And for the best place to look for djent (which this basically is, just instrumental) http://got-djent.com/

I discovered lots of bands playing Brutal Legend. Pretty good game, but great soundtrack.

I knew most of those bands before that game. Though the soundtrack was one of the main reasons I got the game. It kinda sucked that the music would only play while in the car so most of my time was spent just driving around running sh!t over.

Ya I enjoyed looking at everything, and having no HUD at all made each screenshot an album cover. Now I want to run s*** over

Iron Attack! and Kissing the Mirror are the only two groups I know of. I sort of just stumbled across both while looking for the Touhou OST's. They're two of my favorite bands period now.

There should be around 30 albums between the two of them, though there are a few are of questionable quality(namely, any with vocals).
