what is lore and what current know about it?

i heard that lore was a big mystery in a pre-alpha livestream

so what is lore and know about it?

We do know some Lore.

The general idea behind PA is that human kind has been long extinct. During mankind's last days, we built these commanders to wage war – and that's what they do. Even though man is no longer around, these robots are still waging a war that has long since lost its purpose.

Other than that, Uber has played things fairly close to the chest and not told us much about the lore.
