What games to play while waiting?

This game has ruined destroyed my itch to play other games. Is that weird? :| Its like all I want to do is play this awesome amalgamation of Shooter and DoTA and it has ruined my desire to put a disc into my 360, Wii, or PC.

Help me wait out the remainder of the days until this game finally releases!

i know what you mean by you don't feel like playing anything else, i used to be able to sit and play 1 game now im jumping from game to game trying to pass time. Currently im playing Gears and Red Dead. (3rd person shooters FTW!)

Honestly, right now I'm scrambling to find a Medal of Honor beta code...I never bought Battlefield BC 2, so I dont have a code, and after seeing it, I realllly wanna give it a go.

Although for some reason my comp has started to lag during every teamfight. That's why I just pick Nasus and pop my ult and and run around to create as much havoc as possible during teamfights lol.

I haven't heard of "Madden ATM".

It stands for "Madden: Already-Tried Mechanics." Haha I know not really funny, but I love to hate Madden. I have decided to stop buying Madden until they stop selling the same game year after year. I'm hoping Backbreaker is as good as Natural Motion is promising after the patch that is supposed to release some time next month. Even tho it lacks a lot of the nice little details Madden has, it has the most important part: intense, close-up, football action.

Football is a violent sport and you just don't get that feeling from a broadcast camera angle and canned animations. Backbreaker seems to be moving forward and Madden has been much of the same for the last how many years. So for me personally, I'm gonna follow and support Backbreaker instead of Madden. I'm really interesed to see what Backbreaker may come to be if it gets 20 years to mature like Madden has.

And Broncho I would disagree with you that madden is actually wayyy better than backbreaker
Firstly madden actually has professional teams and actual players while backbreaker has made up teams and fictional players (reminds me of a gaelic football video game had no real players and there names were #1, #2, #3. it was horrible.)

Secondly I absolutely hated the defense camera angle it was so hard to control and was really frustrating at times

And lastely there is only two game modes now you would be very bored playing just to game modes in an american football game and also madden has around a dozn different things to do

But I do see were you are coming from backbreaker could be great if there is a sequal and all of these problems fixed it could easily beat madden but right now madden is far better

(O and by the way uber MNC is perfect with two game modes as itis a shooter and won't get repetitive at all )

True, it would be much better with the NFL license. EA's exclusivity deal ends in 2012 so we'll see what happens if Backbreaker is still around.

Yeah, switching players is incredibly jarring since the camera completely changes and you have no frame of reference to quickly determine where you're at on the field. Plus, I do admit there are many other frustrating things currently in the game, but that's why I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the patch will be everything they're hyping it up to be.

I agree there are definitely some things missing (especially a "Create-A-Player" mode!), but I personally don't like Madden's franchise mode or the other modes that require a lot of team micro-management.

On a side note, I never once said Backbreaker was a better game. I just said I like the way they're trying to be innovative. I find Backbreaker to be more fun to play, but I don't find myself yelling at Madden when I've been intercepted 9 times in a game (half of them by linemen).

And broncho I know what your saying madden has been mostly the same thing for a couple of years now and there are only slightly insignificant details that are changed every year like this year was "NOW YOU CAN HAVE 9 MAN GANG TACKLE'S!!!!!!" do I care and you are also right in saying that backbreaker has cool new things that madden would never have like tackle alley it was so funny and no 2 tackles looked the same so there was no repititiveness in it but maybe in a few years time (maybe even 2012) backbreaker could be better than madden but ATM (At The Moment) it's madden that is winning in this game and backbreaker has tied it's shoes together at the very start

I had never played a DotA style game, so I downloaded League of Legends while waiting for Monday Night Combat.

20+ games in two days later, I am addicted to this genre. I can not wait for MNC to come out.

I'm happy that this game is coming out before the semester starts. Otherwise, my CS classes would take a serious hit. :?
