I'm a little confused by your question. Where do u see the "specialty?" Can you be a bit more specific?
Gunners have a specialty stat that goes up when you (stupidly) invest in the grapple skill. It's on the right in the upgrade screen. If I'm not mistaken, all classes have such a stat. It's the bottom stat.
You shouldn't really look at those stats. They do not mean anything by themselves, they just indicate your abilities in a rather poor, simple system.
Tank has alot of Specialities in his cause of his product grenade..It basically just means stuff other than offense mostly stun and stuff i think.
