Lately, has anyone lately feel like the 360 community looks a lot like this? All I can say, guys, is thank you. Really. Thank all of you. Uber, the TEG guys, H&S guys, the Oxyteam guys, Pyre and Thom for being very good friends I've never ever seen in person! Seriously, I've never seen a game like MNC pull so many players together for almost 2 years. We've had fun and made drama. We've try'd our asses off and played like we didn't give a shit. We've waited months for an update that we knew in the back of our minds would never come, yet we've still continued to play and organize the community so we could still enjoy this game for what it was. I have no idea why I still go back to MNC, it's like some sort of magic or social bond. Don't know what the 360 community is gonna be like with it's current members out of the picture. All I know is, I've had fun. <3
The 360 forum's community is surely dying, but the game itself isn't close, yet. We never had a chance at keeping the community alive once the decision was made to not update this game and put out another. Unfortunately for the last 6 or so months, most of the community became "the private match community" Although I'd rather it be more than privates, we just never got new people to join. I think the forums would be completely dead if it wasn't for private matches and the people who set them up. A small private match community could still survive here on the forums, but it won't be pretty. I say it can survive because of how many new players there are playing, and how many of them are surprisingly good. Casual players rarely care about checking forums... I know my involvement in this game is just about as dead as the community. Even with all the update issues between the dev's and the console fan base, I've acknowledged that this is the most I've ever gotten out of an arcade game, or any game for that price... and even a lot of full priced titles. Something about MNC will keep me coming back time and time again. After 2 years of the same maps, I still am not tired of the concept of the game. I've never played a game like it, despite looking like TF2 and having the same concept of LoL. It's been a great time... I loved seeing the evolution of this game. I loved the competitive merit it had. I love the fact that after well over 500 private matches the meta game still continues to change and players have to adapt. I love how easy it was to enjoy the game, even without having to try your *** off. The community was great too. I've met lots of cool people throughout the course and some were really helpful. Although I still probably have some more posts left, I'll take the opportunity to write farewell MNC 360 Community.. I'd write a shout out list but it'd be too long.. R.I.P <3 edit : I'm editing my edit out which was a basically a thanks to uber and putting it in zoom's new thread. I'm stalkin you zoom!
It's felt like this for a while now. We must have a pretty damn big plastic bag, though. Y'all don't suck. I'll get back into playing RIGHT AFTER THE BIG CLIMATIC ENDING TO MASS EFFECT 3 that supposedly sucks.
Finally taking the advice you gave to me huh? Best of luck to you Zoom. I'm sure whatever you do, you'll be happy with it.
I honestly hope they consider releasing SMNC for XBox. I say this actually mainly because I believe it would bring a small but maintained and renewable playerbase to MNC as well, since if tons of people play SMNC then it is inevitable that some will play MNC. They have a long time to go before they can, I understand that. This game will still live long. I just think it would be a big business decision on their behalf too. Not the copies they will sell to XBox, but the copies they will then sell for PC, because the xbox playerbase will see the game and recognition of MNC and Uber will grow. Also, I have trouble playing the PC game. I try my *** off, but I have tons to fix to get the game to work completely. Being on the XBox would give people like me with incompatable computers a chance to play. (P.S.: That fish will probably be ok btw, the bottom of the bag has no holes, there will be an unconfortable but sustainable amount of water at the bottom. Same for this game, probably for years, just like CoD Classic and other titles who have players 10 years later.)
