    Hey Everyone,
I have been playing for a few weeks now, and I really like the assault class. Many claim that assaults are overpowered, but I don't believe that they are. I will say this: As an assault, you have a variety of tactics to take out your opponents.
When I first started playing, I had a k/d ratio of 1 kill to 3 deaths. Now my ratio is about 2~3:1. The advice in this should work pretty well and is very basic, this morning I had 16 kills (12 of were from a streak), 10 assists, 5 deaths (3 of these were from destroying the money ball), many bot kills (using grenade launcher to shoot into enemy base), and several turret kills (bomb+grenades=turret ownage). I may not be the best, but I am learning and improving every time I play.

BTW my current build is Gold armor, with silver and bronze being either accuracy or crit depending on the situation.

    Tips:
    1. Use the ejectors. I have gotten several kills and ringouts just by using the ejector. As an assault, you can really move fast around the map, which means that you can get to those ejectors very quickly. Not enough players use the ejector to its full advantage.
The closer the ejector is to the enemy base, the better likelihood for pro and bot kills.

    2. When fighting a gunner or tank, it is not advisable to fight them head on. Even with gold armor, you will probably have a hard time fighting a decent gunner or tank. I usually bounce grenades off walls to get them damaged, then I finish them with the assault rifle and a grapple if I need to.

    3. When fighting snipers, I find that it is often best to sneak up and attack from behind at close range. They are snipers, if you try taking them from long range, you are probably going to die. Look out for their traps. Try flying over the traps if you see any.

    4. Use the charge. I like to use the charge as a finishing move. It works very well against assassins when upgraded to two or three. Many say not to upgrade to 3, but I often do. I find that it is easier to kill opponents with a charge combined with a grapple when fighting 1v1. Use the upgrade to your discretion.

    5. Use your bombs. I don't encourage spamming bombs. I deem that unfair and very rude. However, I will use it against bots and turrets. I rarely use bombs against pros unless it is to protect me from dying. Just use these fairly.

    6. How to fight assassins. Enemy assassins are one of your best friends in MNC, especially when playing as assault. If I suspect an assassin is near, I immediately jet pack so they cannot grapple me. If they are still not seen, bring out your assault rifle and shoot in a strafed fashion. You can see an assassin when they get hit. Be careful when going around corners, that is when you are most vulnerable because your back is open.

    7. Learn to use your weapons properly. Some noob assaults don't zoom in when using their rifle at long range, that is stupid and explains why they die a lot. Learning when to zoom in and when to stafe is vital to playing as assault. The grenade launcher is also really important. It kills bots, jackbots, tanks, and gunners with ease. Remember, grenades can bounce off walls, so if you are on low health and there is someone after you, bounce grenades off the wall to protect yourself and damage them. If they have a clear shot, try to charge them.

    8. Know your maps. When I play as any class, I immediately know my strategy based on what map I am playing on. I get many kills early in the game because I usually know the typical strategy of a normal team. Expect assassins to rush early on. Expect snipers to be set up in a hard-to-shoot spot with lacking cover in nearby areas. Expect tanks to be plugging your bot lanes. Expect gunners to be pushing foreward destroying everything in their path and clearing the lanes for their bots. Enemy assaults are hard to track because there are so many unique playing styles.

    9. Try out different endorsements to see what works for you. There are several different builds, try them all to see what you like best.

This is just my observation on playing as assault. If you have any more ideas or advice, please post it, with all the new players joining MNC, I think it is important that strategies be posted so they can improve.

Really? I find that the Assault is the perfect anti-Tank and anti-Gunner class. The Assault dominates midrange (where the Tank is at his worst) and the bomb and charge work great against Gunners.

Also, using the bomb effectively is one of the most important things to learn as an Assault in my opinion. The bomb can (and usually will) be avoided by most smart players, and it can be the only way that you can come out on top while you are outnumbered. If you can use it properly, go for it. If the other team can't stop getting killed by your bomb, then they either need to learn or stop playing.

Assaults really are good anti-tank and anti-gunner units. In some levels, it is hard to fight tanks and gunners at medium range. For instance, on Spunky Cola a lot of gunners like to hide in the passage way near their base past the bridge. If you enter the passage with a gunner waiting on you, you are dead.

Many times, I am multi-teamed because I am harrassing the enemy. Sometimes my bomb or charge has been used, putting me at a disadvantage. Learning to fight that can be hard. That is part of the reason why I made this guide. If a gunner is coming after you and you have used up your bomb or charge, grenades are pretty much your last resort. Trying to take out a gunner with just an AR will easily get you killed.

What were you smoking when you wrote this? HORRIBLE ADVICE.

Use your bomb as much as you possibly can. It is one of your best skills. Use them fairly? Are you KIDDING me?!

Where do these people come from?

I do use bombs vs. pros quite a lot. They are very useful, but when you spam them that isn't cool.

What makes you think that? I don't get it...

I hope that is just sarcasm. Spamming bombs is just really unfar to the other team. It would be like a support having the ability to spawn air strikes. It just isn't fair.

Not sarcasm at all. I have to kill smart players with my Assault Rifle. Smart players don't get killed by bombs usually. The bomb is just another skill.

I have seen assaults throm bombs into the enemy's base nonstop. It is really annoying sometimes, and can be really unfair. I have had good luck with the bomb.
