So I'm doing a Let's Play series on a mod server at the moment and thought it'd be fun to have my lady in the video with me, reacting to what I'm doing. Then I thought, screw it, I'll just let her play the game and explore the Overworld near my base and react to her! Let me know what you think and please, please share it with your friends!
Just so you know in the future. If you ever plan to get really good at some shooter- Low sensitivity is good! Your wife has the right sensitivity ironically enough!
I kinda wish i had gone low sensitivity years ago when I first started playing FPS games. Quake 2 was my first multiplayer game, and I think back then I preferred high sensitivity, I don't know why. I found it easier to do flick shots. And easier to control the mouse with just my fingers and wrist. I don't know if any pro FPS gamers use high sensitivity mouse settings, I imagine a few might do. Most probably do low sensitivty though, at least 20cm maybe for a 360 degree turn. Anyway, I'm not going into competitive play and I'm decent enough as it is, so I don't get motion sick from the high sensitivity, that's the main thing! And @xankar - that's never going to happen, lol! I might try though...!
You can get pretty far on skill alone in any FPS (or practice... same thing), regardless of sensitivity. I've just upgraded to a set up the has more tab 6 inches of mouse room, and boy is it tough to learn! All of my instinctual panic flicking won't save be anymore.
Once you get used to it low sensitivity will be the best thing you've ever found out about. You'll never go back! >
Yeah, she is my fiancée, I proposed years ago but we're in no rush to get married. Things change and we're very happy in our long term, committed relationship. And weddings are expensive! I decided on calling her 'wifey', because we're basically married, we didn't want to use her real name, and she hadn't decided on a nickname/handle for the Internet yet!
