I guess he supposes to make an involvement of Chris Taylor into the development of Planetary Annihilation as a Stretch Goal.
But since Chris Taylor is still the CEO of Gas Powered Games, I don't think he would have time for it.

Yeah, I was referencing Wasteland 2 bringing in Chris Avellone to help develop as a stretch goal.

No offense, but why would they want Chris Taylor??

He doesn't do programming, animation, design or any of the technical stuff that they need money for.

Frankly, from the video diaries, blogs, etc coming out of GPG, I have come to realize that while Chris Taylor may have originated the drive that became Total Annihilation, he seems to be dead weight on further advancing the concept.

There's a darn good reason Supcom 2 turned out so differently from Supcom: FA, and CT was there for both of them, while the Uberent guys left after FA.

Personally I'm really tired of tactical RTS. Who needs CT?

I'd love to see GPG and Chris Taylor collaborate or throw some weight/resources into PA!

Hmm dont not, GPG did many mistakes in SupCom 2 and they did know it. Only limited Mod Capacity, bad Multiplayer, they never fixed the big DesSynch Issues with SupCom 2 etc...etc... not sure if there or Chris Taylors Involvment would the game better or worser.

Chris Avellone and Chris Taylor are both quite busy on their own with their respective projects. Just having them swing by in some sort of official capacity to help with the game wouldn't be that helpful simply because it wouldn't be feasible for them to put any real time in to the project.

We'd of course welcome their input once we get the game to a playable state.

I think Chris Taylor has proven he evolved beyond TA's philosophies. And not for the better, it seems.

For me, he blew it with the Aeon unit names in SupCom 2. Not sure how much of the rumors are true regarding just how these names came to be, but seriously, even greenlighting those is a colossal blunder on Squeenix/GPG's side. It was just the straw that broke the mule's back for me.

Overall, SupCom 2 had much less of the spirit of the franchise than any other installment of TA and SupCom, and that includes Kingdoms. It was still a good (even awesome) RTS, but it was not a good TA style RTS.
