After my last thread got hijacked, I have decided to start the V2 version of "Want to Improve?" (Don't hijack or troll this one, hint hint) If you are new and would like some teaching about how to play the game, I would be willing to teach you. If you don't know me or haven't played a game with me, I am currently ranked #70 in weekly wins and #7 in weekly earnings as of March 27, 2011. Overall, I am ranked in the top 1300, and there are over 150,000 people playing MNC according to the leaderboards. If you would like to learn from me, send me a FR and a message telling me which class(es) you would like to improve with. After doing so, I will set up a private lobby with you when we are both online, and I will work with you. Before learning from me, here is what I ask: 1. Read the guides here on the forum. They are very helpful and will give you a good basis. 2. Know the controls. I am helping you improve, not teaching you the controls. 3. Have at least one custom class unlocked. 4. Have those custom classes customized for the class you wish to improve. (I will help you with this one if you are unsure of what to choose.) 5. Have your controller sensitivity adjusted so you can aim well. 6. Limit swearing to a minimum. 7. Have a mic. Here are my recommended builds, they may not be the best but they are generally accepted: Gunner: Armor/RoF/Accuracy Assault: Armor/RoF/Accuracy Sniper: Armor/RoF/Clip or Accuracy or Skill Regen Support: Armor/RoF/Skill Regen Tank: Armor/RoF/Skill Regen or RoF/Armor/Skill Regen Assassin: Armor/RoF/Health Regen Gold Armor is almost a must, you will die way too quickly without that. Some can do really well without armor, but I don't see that as a viable option in most circumstances. If you don't believe me, here is what will kill a full-health unarmored sniper or assassin: Charge 2 or above from assault or tank Level 2 or above backstab from assassin Level 3 assault bomb 1 Shot from a support's shotgun at close range 1/8 clip from a gunner's minigun.
The weekly leaderboards reset today so that's really no accomplishment. Good luck reaching out to players that don't even know about these forums.
Crit Armor Rate/Accuracy. The last one varies per map. You don't always need accuracy for lazorrazor or spunky.
For people who are still new to this game, I think endorsement suggestions with Armor always being at gold might be a good suggestion after all. My main complaint with new players is they die far too much and just give the enemy team money. I put on my DotA pants when I play MNC. Number one personal objective: DO. NOT. DIE.
^^^^ i dont get it... :? anyways, armor/RoF [bronze whatever you want as long as it isnt juice] is a good starter build to any class really.
