I am moving into a smaller room than I had previously, due to having the sisters sharing a room. I am trying to figure out my TV and desk arrangement. It is a CRT TV, which I won't give up due to the fact that many of the older PS1 games look superior on the CRT than an LCD.

One idea I had was to use the space under my desk to house my laptop with the cooling pad, then find a way to connect it to the TV above and use a separate keyboard and mouse. This will provide several advantages, taking up very little space, and due to the fact that the TV is natively 640 x 480 (or 320 x 480 counting the interlacing), there is inherently little stress on my GPU, allowing me to crank up the other settings without slowdowns. I play a lot of older games on my PS2 anyway, so playing with low resolution is usually no problem.

Disadvantages, however, would include any delay from the conversion from VGA to Composite (provided I can even find such a device), and possibly cost as well.

So, anyone know of an Adaptor that will allow the conversion of VGA to Composite, and how well such a device will work?
