Gold: Critical / Rate of Fire Silver: Rate of Fire / Critical Bronze: Reload/Speed/Accuracy/Armor For this build, you will need to use tank deploy. When you deploy, you will have increased accuracy and critical. Rate of fire will increase the chance per second to proc crit. Max passive and deploy first. 3rd level deploy will give you increased defense so your capabilities to go against other gunners and most pros will increase. When deploying, shoot and aim. Your shots should immediately be in "deployed mode" so your crits will proc more often. When you are completely deployed, your aim will become better as well. When you need to reload, reload then un-deploy. The animation for undoing deploy does not cancel your reload so you will still continue reloading while getting out of deploy. When fighting an assassin who is behind you, just hold A to burn them to death. They cannot grapple you in deploy and you will not die by dagger or sword because of increased defense. Play smart. If the assassin begins to swap to s-launcher, just un-deploy and slam or jump-slam. If they jumped, grab them afterwards. Also when you are un-deploying, you can aim your sight behind you right when you stand up and shoot whatever is behind you. This build will not work against a long ranged sniper, because he can still snipe you if you don't have level 3 deploy (having level 3 deploy will still lose against long-ranged sniper, but you can take some hits and run). You will also have trouble getting away from aerial strikes and head-crabs. Once again, play smart and know what you can and can't shoot as a gunner. Ex. If an opponent is hiding behind a wall and shooting rails at you, you cannot beat him by shooting into a small opening because not all your bullets will hit. It is best if you retreat. You do not need to kill everything that moves. This is just a build that I find pretty fun to play because of the extreme damage output compared to a normal gunner and burning assassins who do not know about the deployed jetpack trick. Have fun.
Did Uber ever fix the issue where you do less damage as a gunner with level three deploy than level two (presuming that wasn't intentional)?
