Hi, Bought the game today with alpha access, downloaded the launcher, updated it etc, but every time i hit play, it crashes and closes. I have not linked to steam, and would like to keep it that way for now. I have looked at the logs and i get this: [22:12:45.063] INFO Log file C:\Users\Scott\AppData\Local\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\log\PA-22-12-45.047.txt opened [22:12:45.063] INFO delete /user/log/PA-21-38-10.000.txt [22:12:45.063] INFO Looks like this isn't the Steam distribution [22:12:47.184] INFO Dump written to C:\Users\Scott\AppData\Local\Temp\50274c68-c3c4-41b7-826e-ec161503601a.dmp [22:12:47.184] INFO Upload command: C:\Program Files (x86)\Planetary Annihilation\PA\bin_x64\crashupload.exe -c C:\Users\Scott\AppData\Local\Temp\checkpoint.cpk -p "Platform=windows" -p "Program=client" -p "TitleId=4" http://uberent.com/GameClient/SubmitCrashReportWithDump C:\Users\Scott\AppData\Local\Temp\50274c68-c3c4-41b7-826e-ec161503601a.dmp [22:12:48.356] INFO Too many parameters [22:12:48.356] INFO Uploader exited with exit code 1 anyone able to help please? p.s, i have looked around at other solutions, updated and installed stuff, but nothing seems to be working
Before anybody can help you need to post your DxDiag which contain information about your OS and hardware. Run DxDiag tool (Start > Run > type "dxdiag" without quotes), press "Save All Information" button and upload your DxDiag.txt as attachment on forum.
You're problem that you have integrated GPU Intel HD 3000: http://ark.intel.com/products/52219 It's not supported and probably won't be supported. Also game not yet optimized so your iGPU just not powerful enough for it. You also got outdated driver: Grab new one here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail ... ldID=22628 After you install driver game probably will work, but your graphics isn't really suitable for games.
That laptop should have a Nvidia GeForce GT 540M. The specs are about on par with a laptop I have that I can run the game on (though the framerate isn't great). I would try updating your Nvidia graphics drivers, and you might try downloading the DirectX 9.0c redistributals which can be found in this post: viewtopic.php?f=71&t=47593
