Hey there peeps. I haven't read through all the posts on the forum but I've done a few quick searches but I couldn't find any thread related to my "issue". Unit sounds. Remember when a new Peewee came of the production line of the robotics facility in TA? Or when ordering a Thud to move along to the front lines? Or the sound the Big Bertha made when ordering it to fire upon the enemy? The sounds all the units made in TA was just.. Fenomenal. PA is really lacking this part. Would love to hear if this is something that's supposed to be implemented in the future or if we're going to stay with the "blip" and "blop" sounds. Sorry if this question has been raised and answered before, just joined the forums not too long ago!
Afaik currently some of the sounds in PA are actually still sounds from previous Uber games. So they are placeholders. I would expect stuff like that to change.
Something tells me sounds just aren't a high priority item when they're in the middle of getting the score done. ;p Mike
Also the current tech they use for sounds isn't appropriate for a game like PA as sounds can only be heard while extremely close up. They need something quite different for it to work well while zoomed without turning it into a cacaphony.
