I think the reduced size of the energy plants was a great change but I think some other scale changes are needed. Mostly, I mean the advanced factories. Obviously they should be bigger than the standard factories, but the units they build aren't all that much bigger. I think they might be a tad too big right now. Any thoughts on this? Also, that last batch of updates was pretty cool. Particularly the optimization. The game looks so great when it hits 60 FPS, but I forced V-Sync so it still hovers around 30 quite often. But hey, 30 is better than dipping to 11-15 like it was. That was a much bigger step towards optimization than I expected to see this soon.
Instead of them just being bigger, i hope they will get an overhaul to look different. But yeah the scale feels a bit off in many places. im sure they will get to that eventually.
Central plate, at which units are made, should stay same or near same size between different types and levels of factories. But there should be more of a factory around this plate in T2. With maybe exception of naval. Maybe. Also, speaking of aesthetics and central plates: What's the point of this plate in Air factory? It would be cooler if planes were built right in the air, held by large pair of tweezers. If you need this plate for consistency, you can place it lower, under the main gyroscope.
I also agree that it would be cool of they looked a bit more distinct. The bot and vehicle factories look a lot alike and they look smaller than their T2 counterparts. That said, I like the designs a lot. They're pretty cool. They just don't differentiate very well.
I actually like the simple style of models but I agree that different sizes would help to make it more diverse.
I think the T2 factory sizes are a way of distinguishing from T1, and are a placeholder at this point until they finalise the art for them.
