Just popping my head over the parapet here.

It's unbelievable how fast the game is coming together. The UI, planets, graphics, and replay cam all look amazing considering the pre-alpha state.

However, I have a few issues with gameplay and have suggestions that reflect my personal preferences.

    These suggestions are:
    1) Increase the size of all units relative to the map 2-fold.
    2) Decrease build rate of all units 2-fold.
    3) Slow down large projectiles 2-fold relative to unit sizes.

It's looking like 'icon wars', with all those beautiful models and animations permanently reduced to a handful of 2d pixels because units are too small and numerous to actually play with.

The livestream demo gave the impression that armies are just blobs. It seemed like all units were given the same orders and in the worst case, strategy may boil down to a process of 1) manufacture blob, 2) order blob in vague direction of enemy base.

While I am sure some people will enjoy battles between a trillion single-pixel dots. I'll hope for strategy involving positioning a more manageable number of enormous robots with diverse abilities for maximum annihilation. At least a mod if not main game.

Anyone else concerned about this or am I just strange in wanting to play with 3d units?

I think there are about dozen threads mentioning the same things as you so there sure is other people that are concerned.

I'm not that concerned about the state of PA but your suggestions concerns me if Uber would listen to them as I would rather like them to go in the opposite direction in terms of scale and projectile speeds.
But thats my subjective opinion which simply differs from yours I guess.

Well it depends on how you play, I like zooming into the major battles as it helps show the effectiveness of each unit type based on the terrain, like how my bots might be getting killed before they can close distance, or how artillery might be shooting at a wall accidentally.
