When upgrading skills, there are often changes that are not described in the upgrade panel. Examples: - Many skills get faster cooldowns - Assault flight Lv2 also provides faster flight - Assassin cloak engages faster at Lv2, instant at Lv3 I think it would help out the new (and some not-so-new) players if the skill upgrade panel actually described all of the benefits of a skill upgrade
I just wanted to point out this: Assault's flight speed does NOT change when upgraded Hostile doesn't mention it, and testing it in-game corroborates this. All that is changed is the drain speed. It'd be nice if jet 3 gave you increased flight speed (from the current 500 up to the assault's base move speed of 600, or reduced the accuracy loss while in mid air from 50% to like 30%
How about a disclaimer telling you to see the playbook for fully documented information on skills. Leave the skill discription setup as it is, or reword just some of them. And then how about making the playbook fully document the skills. Graphs, man. We need more graphs.
I just took some videos at the 3 different skill levels and measured the time it took to fly a particular distance Level 1: 1.85 seconds Level 2: 1.33 seconds Level 3: 1.31 seconds Levels 2 and 3 are the same, but they are significantly faster than level 1. It's pretty easy just to FEEL the difference. Look down at your feet while running, and hit hover. Then upgrade to level 2 and do the same thing. BIG difference.
My mistake, further testing showed yes it does increase your speed by a very very tiny amount. Its hard to tell since I think it goes up from 500 to 550 which is still less than your ground speed so it masks some of the change when you land. Still I was wrong.
Pretty sure it increases to more than just 550. I did some more measurements, and lv2/lv3 flight are about the same speed as running with a gold speed endorsement, maybe even a little faster (Flight is unaffected by speed endorsements)
That would be rediculously overpowered. Jets are pretty damn good as it is. Heck I could honestly see nerfing the level 3 duration of jets if they were willing to either buff the speed a little more, or reduce the accuracy loss. But making the jets scale with run speed? Way too good.
nerf duration? what for? mobility? assassins? thats the only thing i could think of since its such a huge hit to your accuracy already
Another undocumented change: Gunner passive 3 grants an additional mortar shot (it only mentions the dual minigun aspect, not the fact your split mortar goes from 2 bombs to 3 bombs.)
Indeed there are other benefits to skill upgrades that I would like to be more common knowledge. When a tank and you upgrade passive you are instantly given a full health bar even if you are overhealed (meaning it gets rid of overheal). I've used it to get out of a few tough spots. Also does your juice gain increase when you take damage while deployed at higher levels? Gunner's deployed shots slow down enemies for example. etc. etc.
While deployed as a tank you gain juice for every hit. Also, as a gunner you can shoot behind you in the undeploy animation. That is one of the greatest things ever (and should not be). "Oh an assassin behind me slashing.", *undeploy and rip faces*
Aside from the fact that you basically can't hit anything with the massive accuracy nerf of flying. I'd take a duration nerf for a speed buff so that you can cover teh same distance but assassins are given a bit more of a chance.
Love this idea, i never buy fly skill and hardly use it, this would add more tactical choices with the assault, adds it to my wish list. fly1= bronze speed fly2= silver speed fly3= gold speed Recent patches nerfed the armour endorsement on the class, aswell as the bomb and charge skill, all fair balances, so dont see any harm in this very small mobility buff to make the class more interesting.
