Greetings, I've just purchased Planetary Annihilation on to find out that I am unable to play the game. This is very disappointing. I am unable to launch the game through steam as nothing appears when I click on play. But I am able to launch the game through its launcher. The other problem I'm facing is that the Singleplayer, Multiplayer, Armoury and Replays options are all greyed out and I cannot click on them. Are there any remedies to my problem? If so, please enlighten me. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
If the buttons are all greyed out, then that means that you are not logged into Ubernet or that you don't have enough systems resources to support Offline play. You probably have less than the required 8 Gb for Offline play. You can however force the local server to on by going to [SETTINGS] -> [SERVER] and turn it on there. That should allow you to play AI Skirmish and Galactic War(, but not Multiplayer). As to why you game doesn't launch through Steam, that's kind of odd. You don't get any error messages, I suppose?
The greyed out buttons when you go via launcher is probably because you need to get your key from steam and activate it on your Uber account (?). I think @mkrater might be able to help you with that. As for it not launching via steam, I'm not sure. Any chance you could post a 'dxdiag' so we can check your hardware / software settings for problems? You may just need to update something to get it working properly.
