Just bought the game.. Made a small system and I get this.
Two planets, two moons. But all I get is UI elements and a box with three clickable buttons that do no specific thing.

Tried F5 to refresh to no avail, Alt-F4 and reloaded game to rejoin lobby, same screen, rinse and repeat.
Changed settings to medium, still same as above.

I'll post my DXDIAG if anyone's interested. From what I've searched on google and the like, people have had a similar issue, but that doesn't explain the .. clickable buttons.

By the way, I can hear sound (Wind blowing and music playing ect.)
Its been sitting for about 30 minutes now.

The game is in beta and is rather unstable.

Try making a smaller system. 2 planets and 2 moons is actually pretty big (for current stability). In the future it won't be a big system.

Try building a single planet system and lower your graphics settings.

Also, when you launch a game, don't click ready until you have the green loading light.

Haha trust me I know its unstable o_O

If I had seen a start button, I'd have clicked it already :p

EDIT: Tried literally one planet... same exact thing happened.

UI on your screenshot looks like some UI file is corrupted. If you use Steam please try to use "Verify Integrity of Game Cache":
Right click on "Planetary Annihilation" in Library -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Cache

If you use Uber Launcher just press "VerifyFiles" button.

I ended up fixing it. Seems the engine doesn't like Teamviewer hooking into its process...

    Code:
    What I did:
    Loaded game
started AI game with 1 AI on default settings (No custom worlds)
    Ended up same as picture.
    Disabled Teamviewer
    Loaded game
started AI game with 1 AI in a custom system
    Ended up same as picture
    Loaded game
started AI game with 1 AI on default settings (No custom worlds)
    It Loaded O.o
Subsequent games loaded hereafter, even with 10+ planets/moons and zero lag.
Did not do an integrity check.

    Problem solved?
