My last AI battle froze the UI..

I think this was an overload issue for my pc, im not sure i couldn't get ctrl-p to work,
The UI froze when i selected my bot factory on the starting planet after an hour of gameplay.
I had several hundered airborne anti air units, maybe 200 + anti air boats, 150+ anti air bots.
3 orbital launchers, 1 on starting planet and 2 on the second planet in the beta system, not sure how many Orbital Strikers i had but i'd set myself to build 2500 on each orbital launcher.

I was stuck on the bot factory or the bot that was building in the factory with the selection box, i could move the cursor but middle mouse click drag and pan wasn't working. esc wouldnt change the UI to show the menu selection or quit selection.
I could scroll to zoom , and pan with the keyboard, the game was still running as i was still under attack and my base was pumping out units still, but the metal and energy bars had frozen in the UI too.

2 screen shots with the post, UI Froze1.jpg is showing the size of my base and that i have selcted a bot factory and the UI hasn't changed to show me the build menu, the second showing the top UI at 2 different times (enough time for me to zoom out and go to the next planet zoom in and find good angle for the screenshot,, approx. 30 seconds apart)

Game freeze may have been due to me not being aggressive towards the AI,
I was mainly playing this AI match to build and look at and test the different kinds of units, so my focus wasn't on crushing the AI but more on holding it off so i could build all the units i wanted to view.
To do this i had to TURTLE and built an anti air base that was impenetrable by the AI and then built the orbital launcher to go to the next planet where i could build and look at the units without any AI harassment.

This may have caused the AI commander to become stuck within his base on an island wedged between an ever growing but useless air army :)
I noticed after the AI tried to have at me from a few different angles and failed it stopped an regrouped to build heavier units, when they failed it stopped to build tons of them.
After many failed runs on my base the AI stopped attacking for ages, when i scouted. WOW it was packed tightly onto an island with 1000+ air units of different kinds just sitting there growing. somewhere in that mass of air units was a commander i think.

2 things i also noticed about Orbital Strikers.

1, when they first launch they occupy the same space, this can be decieving im a MP match as i had well over 100 and it looks like i only have 1.

2, Orbital units can be a little hard to select or find sometimes.

Everything else is great though, I won a match earlier today against the AI, it was great fun,
I cant wait to see what the AI will be like when it starts building various kinds of units.

I'm still wildly impressed with the games frame rates on my Tablet PC with intel HD 4000 integrated video.
Even with immense amounts of units on screen my lowest frame rate i have seen so far is 11 FPS. WOW
