I have two issues, my laptop is an Alienware MX14R2, 16 Gb RAM, but intel graphics and nvidia card, therefore requiring optimus to run on card. However, the first issue I come across is running with the onbard graphics. I run the executable through gdb to get the stack trace (intel_crash.txt). I get the cursor bug rendering as a square of static, but that appears relatively common. The crash occurs when building a planet, I guess the game is just about to launch a battle then it segfaults. If any more logfiles are useful please let me know.
Here is the fix for the crashing on the Intel card: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/foss-drivers-crash-workaround-for-58772.54951/ Here is the fix for the cursor issue: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/...tu-12-04-13-04-13-10.53019/page-2#post-814965 The Optimus stuff isn't working so well unfortunately. Here is the thread about the Optimus stuff: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/nvidia-optimus-on-newer-notebooks.49195/ That should get you going.
