No offense gunked but these categories suck compared to last time lol. Should we just re-do this with Chron's categories?

Best Assault: Frank/LP/GroundControl

Assaults an easy class to put up nice stats on, but it's the most demanding and versatile class. Lately I've only see a few assaults play the class properly, and I think right now Frank the meta better than everyone. LP is right up there with him though.

Best Support: Yoshi/Gem
-best communication: Gem/Dudeman
-most underrated: dudeman.. he's got the right mentality and is definitely gonna improve the more he plays.

Yeah, Gem+Yoshi are vets. However nobody is really surpassing them. Dudeman had great communication in last nights games, and pretty good awareness. I think once he transitions from pub style support to private style support, he's going to be rated higher.

-most underrated: Yoshi for sure. Sabre's under rated too. Good mentality just needs to communicate more.

Yoshi and Buff aren't noobs, but they still deserve mention. Especially Yoshi since he's known for his support, not assassin. Yoshi may be one of the best assassin's in game right now. However there are a lot that play it pretty well and have room for improvement. Sabre's gonna get better, and Pian who is really new is already dropping balls in matches.

-best trap placement: Frank/James(or Jeremy I forget which one snipes)
-most underrated: Mr Try Hard

This is tough because snipe is a hard class for people to pick up and do well with, especially in privates. The votes went to more experienced players, but they're the ones who are stepping up and playing the class. Until others start playing more aggressively, I'm gonna have to stay with these picks. I'm constantly begging snipers to push up and put ice traps in high traffic areas.

Best Tank:
-most aggressive: Feedle stays pushin'. LP's aggressive too. Even Yoshi was playing aggressive last night.
-most underrated: Jeremy Doll for sure. Prob not getting a lot of votes, but he played a great tank last night.

Again, tank's not a very easy class to pick up in privates. I also don't see many new players stepping up and picking it, but I'll have to be on the look out. LP plays the best tank right now, followed by Jeremy/Frank.

Another tough one since nobody seems to flat out dominate one another. I really liked playing with Jeremy's gunner, and Try Hards. The last few matches Try Hard played passive, probably because he was up against gunked's gunner, but earlier in the night he played pretty aggressively. We had a nice spawn trap going a few times and it's rare to see gunners to camp ring to initiate the ball drop. Usually they've been pushing down low. Satta's done very well too and I'm looking forward to seeing them play more.

Most Improved: This is too tough.. LP was always pretty good, but he's now a force to be reckoned with. Satoshi and Toon have improved, and toon is now pretty versatile. Pian is new and has a lot of room to improve. Overall I'd say toon since he started as an assassin and is now able to play every class in PM's.

Not enough activity on the forums for this to be too serious anyway. Vote/Discuss here than maybe tally it up and make a results thread?

A lot of the new guys are definitely improving, but the vet's played SOOOOOO MUCH that we're used to usually playing with full teams that know how to play their class in it's niche roles.

Vet's - you have to understand that these players aren't as experienced with the meta and are still learning how to handle different situations. The only way to learn is from experience.

New players - You have to understand vet's frustrations, especially ones who haven't played with the new guys in a while and are still used to expecting certain demands out of classes. Getting really angry isn't acceptable, but if the slayers are doing great but bots are taking our ball down without any call outs, players can't help but get mad. The best thing to do is ask questions and seek advice for situations, and when in doubt, call out. I can't get mad at you if you're getting raped trying to push bots if you let me know everytime where the bots are and that you died. It shows you're trying and you're aware, but you just need some help.



Also, I agree with gunked that right now the assaults are playing a rather basic and easy to read meta. I just sent GC a huge post explaining PM meta for assault, trying to explain situational experiences and ways you can keep things fresh.

Another thing is the attitude of the last period of PMs where most 'vets' developed. I mean outside of GP, Kckzi, and Chaos there really weren't any star players you really wanted on your team with slaying power, myself included in the herd. But players like myself, DK, Wildman, Gunked, chollo, skill, crimson, Knivez, intervention, so on and so on, we were nowhere near the level of the likes of miracle Shammas and Kckzi. And trust me they were just as demeaning and cocky then as they are now. But our group wanted to play good players, not exclude them. Our group wanted to knock them off their pedastal and be just as good as them, not concede to them. Players wanted to play GP and beat them, not just accept them being the best. It is just such a different atmosphere now than it was over a year ago. There used to be so much more intensity and competitiveness to want to win and be better than your friends/rivals. Now, I mean if everyone enjoys it this way I mean good for you guys, but PMs are soooo soft vs what they used to be, part of why myself and others have been avoiding them and stopped caring we arent getting invited

for no particular reason, i decided to start up my stream so we can talk about ubies and sh!t about other players (in chat box) while im pub stomping.
