PA isn't open, the launcher refuses to load or install the stable, it keeps saying an instance is open and needs closed. The pte doesn't have this problem because... some reason. I will try to move around stable folder maybe rename it to make it forget whatever its trying to do. UPDATE: Renaming the stable folder, then launching PA, just gets me "uberlauncher.exe has stopped working"... UPDATE: A fresh install results in the same thing. Restarting computer to see if that helps.
Are you using my workaround for memory usage? If yes can you please try to remove it from registry and check it again?
Happens to me every now and again. Usually when I close and open pa again. Think it is some process that doesn't close properly
...suddenly doesn't crash. Well, at least I helped you find a nasty side effect to your little fix. I still am going to add it back after the update. Will probs keep a copy of the registry file just in case. This also for some reason I can't even fathom, allows stable to update. PTE was able to update even with registry change. So what do you think is the cause of that? Oh silly coding quirks...
I think I had it that the launcher said "PA is running" while in fact only the UI debugger was running. After I closed that the launcher stopped complaining.
