Hello, I downloaded PA_Setup.exe, installed launcher and tried to run шею But I've got error «UberLauncher.exe has stopped working». I updated my NVIDIA video driver (current version is 335.23), installed latest versions of .NET Framework and DirectX, but launcher still crashed.
This can be related: Code: Language: Russian (Regional Setting: Russian) Previous versions of Coherent/game didn't worked well with non-English characters. Can you please check that path to launcher only contain English characters and numbers?
Previous launcher version worked well and there were no errors. Path to game is D:\planet, so I don't think that system lang and this error are related
Previous launcher didn't used game engine and Coherent. Though main problem was inability to create directories in AppData due to non-English system username, but I doubt this can cause crash.
Sorry, I don't know that fact cause my launcher always crashe Other russians who play PA have got no errors. If I open error description, it wrote me that it's kernelbase.dll error
I also have the same issue with "UberLauncher.exe stopped working". I have the latest AMD driver, and Windows 7 updated with the latest stuff. It'd be great to hear something about this. I had this problem for quite some time.
I really have no idea what can be wrong with launcher on your system, so I decide to re-compile alternative launcher for Windows users here: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/alternative-go-launcher-build-for-windows.59287/ It's don't look pretty and quite tricky to use (due to some windows cmd encode problem), but it's should work. So until main launcher fixed you can use this one to download/update PTE or stable builds.
I've also updated the launcher last weekend. Like SolitaryCheese, I've had the missing msvcp110.dll first. I've installed the Visual C++ Redistributable (32bits & 64bits) to correct this problem. Now, I have the "UberLauncher.exe stopped working" issue when I execute it. I'll post my dxdiag tonight when I'll be at home. For your information, I have a special character in my windows 8 login name: "é". Perhaps It can cause issues with the AppData folder.
I dowloaded it, and it downloaded the game for me successfully. However! When I tried to start the game, it loaded without the GUI. What I did was that I moved the entire "Planetary Annihilation" folder that your launcher downloaded, and moved it to the original folder where Uber's launcher installed itself, and started the game with PA.exe in the stable folder (not with Uber's launcher), then it started perfectly with the GUI, and I was able to long in and start a game vs. the AI. Thank you! You're most likely the awesomest awesome that ever lived on this planet!
Ooops.. It's happen exactly because game engine don't like paths with special characters... I'll add warning about that in topic, thanks.
The same problem. Launcher don't work. Downloaded precompiled launcher. It downloaded the game. Replace it into directory C:\games\ But... Game crushed. Error: "An unhandled win32 exeption occured in PA.exe 18284" Also 17928, 16272, 18164, 17480... Apparently these numbers mean nothing. Notebook sumsung R590, win 7. Maybe it too old for this game?
Here it is. RAM 3 gb. That's enough, I think... Game launched successfull at another comp (young and beautiful). But launcher still don't work. Perhaps, because of paths with non english characters. So.. waiting for new, fixed launcher.
Your driver is out of date. Here is the link for the new driver below: http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/73784 The driver is from 2010. Please remember to always update your drivers.

I downloaded versions 65240 and 64498. 65240 C:\Games\Uber Entertainment1\Planetary Annihilation\PTE\bin_x64 runs without problems. 64498 C:\Games\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\stable\bin_x64 displays an error message: "Unexpected failure to initialize Coherent UI subsystem. Please contact support@uberent.com" after that game does not load on.

'forever alone" - That's how I feel. So. In the end, I just ran the standard launcher that is earned after exchanging drivers. It normally downloaded the game and everything now works. Thank you for your help. Now I can finally relax and annihilate anyone.
Hey all, I have the similar problem, here's my dxdiag.txt I've updated my drivers, I've checked my system files integrity, and I have enough RAM (8GB). I recently reinstalled windows 8, and just upgraded to windows 8.1. I was hoping that that upgrade would fix the issue, but nothing. I reinstalled a couple times changing/checking different parameters, but still nothing. I noticed that certain accents in usernames caused problems, and I do have one in mine, but this never caused any issues in previous launcher versions. I only have the original pa launcher (non-steam), but it won't even load, although it does ask for admin.
Try to download this package: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 Then run it, extract to accessible directory, open this directory, find and run "DXSETUP.exe" installer. After installation finished try to run launcher once again.
