So, we all know how Uber loves to be compared to Valve [/sarcasm], but there's definitely one similarity that can't be denied. Valve is famous for misrepresenting the time and date something will be released/finished. I can't help but notice that Uber seems to have the same problem. Anyway, here are some Uber time to valve time conversions that I've came up with.

    Uber Time: "This Week"
    Real Time: 90 Minutes

Reference - When the merchandise store would be open.

    Uber Time: "Soon"
Real Time: Six weeks, Five Days

Reference - When the title update would be released.

    Uber Time: "Week"
    Real Time: Three Days

Reference - The "Unmasking Week" in which DLC info was released.

Uber Time: "Sooner rather than later"
Real Time: Six Weeks (Specifically, five days "sooner", in reference to the title update)

Reference - When the first DLC will be released.
Also - When everyone will "get the message".

    Uber Time: "This Month"
    Real Time: Next Month

Reference - Also in reference to when the first DLC would be released.

Anyone else want to add to the Uber Time/Real Time conversion table?

You must be running out of things to complain about. Awesome, I guess we're doing alright then. :) I hope you know we don't deliberately mislead you on dates. We could either not say anything at all but then people would complain about us not interacting enough with our fans or give rough estimates which can and do change because of both internal and external factors. Game development isn't paint by numbers. Sometimes we feel things need time so we push the dates until its done and other times there are factors that aren't in our control like Cert or finding a good date to release content on.

Ok who's good with math? Try to figure this out for us so we know when the DLC will drop..

The DLC is out This Month.
    A week is 3 days.
    This week is 90 minutes.

I know there is some kind of formula to solve that I just can't think of it.

Please don't misinterpret. I'm not complaining, I just thought this was a humorous observation.

I got it. After several calculations and hours of analysis with formulas and the given data, I have come to the conclusion that the DLC will be released sometime between today and November 30th.

Running out of things to complain? Nah, more like getting tired of complaining about the same thing time and time again.

Also I fully understand about the waiting on microsoft to get certifications thing. I don't understand what is taking so long to get a t-shirt store up and running.

they would have to decided whether to code their own store or use one of the many that are already set up. if they code their own then it will take awhile to get it how they want it. if they decided to go with a premade one then they have to look at the pros and cons of each of the different online stores and see which they think is best for them.

You should try it sometime. There are many different ways to do this. For example if we wanted to get it up and running quickly we could have made a super simple Paypal merchant site but it wouldn't be scalable or flexible to what we wanted. We ended up doing a custom solution that integrated with our website, has great tools for updating and stats. The biggest time suck was getting our bank and payment handler to talk to each other. The store backend, security, credit card handling, etc is pretty complex. Not to mention fulfillment, inventory tracking, etc. But it's up now and we can tweak from here on.

    1) I appreciate all the hard work you fellows do, I never want to make it seem like I don't.

    2) I actually have gotten stores together, ran inventory, and gotten bank payment handlers to work together. It is sorta my job, I'm a small business accountant. Then again, it seems easy to me because i do it day in and day out. Just like how I'm mystified by the workings of a car engine. I can do basic stuff like oil, batteries and spark plugs. Given enough time I could tear apart an engine, but a machine would do it in a fraction of the time.

Also...your store didn't give me shipping options. I don't get how I'm paying more for shipping and handling than for a shirt. The shirt is $15 shipping is $17? You know flat rate boxes are $4.95 and ship anywhere in the country? I don't care if I get my shirt in a week and would have select that option if it was available, but it wasn't. Did you guys know that shipping options weren't available?

We've had orders filled with shipping. If you fill everything out properly it will show up.

Are you sure? Mine showed UPS ground, which was $8 for three shirts, and UPS 2nd day air, which was more around the price you're talking about. The shipping options don't come up until you fill out your shipping address and hit "continue with order".

I did that, it didn't show up. Whatever, I'll get my shirt faster.

Tested it, this time it clearly showed up, the first (when I actually made and order) and the second time when I tested it, I swear it didn't come up, I don't know what happened.

That being said, is there any way to stop my order and re-order with the $6 shipping? I'm order 84 if that helps.

Technically, the store did open that week. 90 minutes into that week

Blame Microsoft and their certification process. VALVe have their own digital distribution system, so they don't have that excuse.

I'm kinda glad that it wasn't stretched out over a week - I guess if they really wanted, they could have done the Wallpaper Contest winners on alternating days in between DLC info. Which would have sucked.

I guess they don't want to get our hope up about Microsoft supporting smaller developers when Black Ops is in town.

But, if we're going to bitch about petty things ( )*, how about the website header still containing the links to the character pages? Or the way some of the information on the character pages is still locked?

DAMMIT UBERENT I THOUGHT YOU WERE COOL

*To make sure you know I'm joking. Also, bitches love smiley faces.
