Uber Launcher Stuck on Update

So I started downloading the new patch and my power blew out halfway through. Now when I try opening the launcher it just gets stuck on "Checking for Updates." If I let it run for like 20 minutes it says it failed and to verify the files, sending it back into a loop. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Mine throws out an unhandled exception about 80% through then restarts

after repeatedly relaunching the launcher it actually got through to 100%.

It's working now! I don't know what happened but it fixed itself.

There have been some issues with the update links taking time to fully propagate through the CDN before. It happened to me on the pre-Christmas update and I just had to wait until the next day.
