Unfortunately it's still going to just be a video, but hey, it's a step forward I suppose.

There is a huge section of the player base that isn't hardcore gamers. You can't ignore those.

Even then, if new players, even if they are "hardcore," may have little to no RTS experience and may not know simple basic things like waypoints from factories.

A tutorial is absolutely necessary for ANY game no matter whether it is "hardcore" or not.

To be fair, this has been one of my biggest criticisms of the timing of the release of PA. With the large influx of new players, ease of learning is a huge part of player retention. I'm really pleased to see it's being worked on.

This doesnt seem like a hardcore game, yes you can have competitive multiplayer, but its not hardcore, and a new tutorial is appreciated, though an interactive one i still think would have been better o_O

Yay! Hopefully this wil silence a lot of reviews. My fav (Belgian) reviewsite noted no tutorial, no offline and crashy game as the negative points. The only plus it could find was the scale ending with 49/100...

Personally I'd call it a pretty hardcore game, mechanics/gameplay wise. Though it doesn't punish players /too/ much so I guess it could be let up for debate.

Anyway, would love to see a scripted tutorial, though I understand ye tales of woes Uber. :p

That is a feature I certainly am really looking forward to. Gonna take away a lot of spawn inequality issues.

Metal planets aren't too far from that.
