Basically, I'd like to get an opportunity for a Q&A with Uber. Not all of us are able to go to PAX and other conventions, so if we have a question we want to ask, our only option is to email. With so many questions, a lot of these emails will never be sent. I want an opportunity for these to be asked.

Several game companies have done this in the past, and it's proven to be a success. What it is is a period of time in which fans are allowed to ask the developers questions for quick answers. These can be half an hour, an hour, or however long the developers want. It can be through IRC, forums, or whatever, as long as there's an answerring staff ready to answer.

If we can get enough people to support this, maybe it'll happen. To support it, simply vote on the poll above. Sorry if this has been done already, but I looked for a while and couldn't find anything.

I voted yes. While they may not have time to search the forums and answer every email I think it would be a great idea to compile all the "FAQ's" and have Uberent. answer to the best of their ability.

You do realize, that you can ask anything you want, maybe send a PM to a dev to get their attention about your post, and it should and usually does get answered by the devs?

If you look through, there are many examples of this.

If you want a topic to compile all of these, then go ahead and make it, it should be fine.

Either way, I voted option 2, and think the devs would be more than happy to answer anything posted here and elsewhere (in their free time).

about 80% of pms i send go unanswered.

i think this would be a good move, but i propose one rule:
dont ask about anything regarding to the supposed DLC.

I just looked at my PMs... I answered the last one you sent to me.

What questions do you have? I have my 'neither confirm nor deny' ready.

I think it'd be a good thing. Frankly, Uber seems rather lacking in the PR department. Yes, actions speak louder than words, and the PC has been demonstrating that. People still need the words to feel like the company is actually interested in them. We have people who are actually convinced that the 360 will never be updated purely because Uber doesn't want to do so. I'm not asking for that to be debunked; we already do that ourselves. It's just showing what silence can do to people.
I'm not necessarily saying that you need a community manager like Capcom has, but they do have a fairly good model. I'm checking http://eventhubs.com all the time, and it seems like there's something at least every 2 weeks where Capcom addressed its public on its products. Of course, they've got a lot of products, so that's not really difficult. I think a monthly address on the state of things would be good to do. There are a lot of things Uber can address, even if they can't comment on specific things in progress. For example, this is a little tease that could've hypothetically been done about the armor tweak.
"We've been taking a look at who's actually been funding Monday Night Combat. Some companies seem like they're practically working monopolies, while others on the verge of bankruptcy! That's actually not so bad, but it seems the fans are starting to lose interest the more they notice they're just watching clones. We're already in talks with the high-rollers, and we're very optimistic about the future."

Reading that, you could take all sorts of things from it. It seems fairly obvious that it's talking about endorsements, but that's all people get. This can lead to all sorts of speculative reactions, such as:
    * "Oh crap, they're cutting off the classes at the knees. Everyone, start playing bad customs so Uber thinks they're actually the good ones and we can keep our real classes." / "Yeah, they're cutting off the classes at the knees! Maybe we can get some real variety here."
    * "Maybe juice endorsements will actually be relevant now." - This can lead to a big debate about how this could happen. Will juice be nerfed to make juice endorsements matter? Will juice itself be made so commonplace that it can be used to push people out of your base? Is Uber ruining the game by making juice super-powerful? ("They're ruining it" speculation can be healthy.)
    * "I'm probably going to be an Assault forever. Critical shot's getting a buff. I want my 50% crit chance."
    * "I think we're just not going to see speed drops anymore. About @*$& time!"

The art of the tease is a fine one. There has to regularly be some new stuff, even if it's fairly minute (pronounced mahy-nyoot). This spurs imagination and discussion. You could also always show us some screenshots with one of those collector figures blocking part of the shot.

    lol.

i am curious as to why things like balance adjustments and performance are optional. i would think that such things would be standard.

i would still assume they would take a priority over anything else, therefore not be nessecary in the poll.

It's a poll to judge what people think is there priority. Not everyone would think balance adjustments are more important than something like maps.

Since pc is pretty well balanced (the assault could use a slightly faster charge regen, and lazorblazors should be as strong as pre-spunky and cost 2x more), I'd accept maps.

Anyway, the devs aren't ignoring us, I find they are quite straightforward. It isn't their fault that the xbox isn't easy to update, and I still believe it will eventually come. If you do have anything to ask, and ask it here, I am sure they will be glad to answer (or tell you that they don't know, in case of xbox360 updates and future dlc).

Also, Organous referenced eventhubs.org. Lmao. That place is great.

Looks like the devs have been receptive. Perhaps compile some questions for the hypothetical interview?? The thread may just become your interview. I guess they could do an occasional talk-shoe style web-conference, but that may be hard to manage the volume of people with questions.

I think an interview would be cool, but we have game media publishers for that. The first step would be to see what your audience would want to ask the devs if they were willing to sit in a freelance, customer created interview.

We've done plenty of Q&A interviews in pod casts as well as answer stuff on the forums. Ask away.

For Response from Scathis or other Uber representatives:

Considering all the speculation and knowledge about the difficulties and or obstacles in getting expansion/DLC content out for the Xbox 360, has there been any notable consideration for just maintaining game support while working towards a follow up title that can release lots of newly developed content, as well as bring in more profit for the company? Example, creating Monday Night Combat 2 (although I would hope that based on the entire premise of MNC, you would come up with a more cleverly named game than just sticking a new number to it.)

Follow up question to number one. Does Uber, and if so how does Uber, seek outside feedback from individual sources for how to improve the game and how they would suggest moving forward for the above mentioned new and current products?

Is it generally accepted that the number and types of classes have already created such a checks and balances system that it seems only tweaks and adjustments to the already present classes are most likely?

Has there ever been any consideration to add additional game types to Monday Night Combat rather than just sticking to Crossfire and Blitz? If possible, please mention any original ideas or possible future developments that have been put to consideration.

Would it be something considered by the development team to possibly remove the ability to gain money while juiced within the game? I believe this could produce a fair game-play environment. I originally thought that the juice vendors could use a cool-down to stifle the use of juice in crossfire matches, but it seems that the ability to buy juice, wreak havoc on enemy team, go to second juice location, acquire more juice, and repeat, typically gives the original juice purchase location enough time to recharge so the purchaser can continue to do so seemingly endlessly. Simply halting all income while juiced seems like a fair solution to me.

I guess lastly, I would just leave it at, do any members of the MNC Development team actively play MNC, and would they consider playing the game with people aware of their presence? I believe an organized event like I see occurring on different games on Xbox Live could be a beneficial way for gamers and developers to kind of find a common ground on many in game ideas and topics.

How many updates with bonus you are going to release before Mod tools?
Soon there will be more games that will take attention.... for example: like now Brink... soon Duke Nukem...

Why did you release & poorly test a game for XBLA knowing how hard it is to get updates out?
