I think I made it to 119 with a friend.

IIRC, I had 3 ShaveIce turrets:
One on each side of the moneyball (You know.. By the walls. Hard to describe. :p ) and one in the front where the 3 turret nubs are. (The middle one).
Everything else was RockIt turrets, except for the ones in the back corners. They were Long Shots.
You might want to make the back one of the three surrounding the moneyball into a Lazer Blazer to take out the Buzzers, if you tend to get killed by those. Just run back to it whenever they come for you. :)

I basically shoot for all rocket turrets. I usually start with a lazer blazer or two by the moneyball early on. I just do that due to the cost of rocket turrets.

I know the spots Kyou is suggesting for the shaveice turrets. They are great spots for them. I've used them here and there, but I'm still undecided on sacrificing firepower for them. I suppose, with all 3 in place, you do slow anything moving towards the moneyball exposing them to more fire.

I go back and forth on placing longshots or rockets on the rear nubs. I like to have rockets to hit targets coming out of either tunnel back there. On the other hand, you don't get much time on target, due to the short gap between their tunnel and the doorway into your base. I suppose longshots would couple well with the 3 shaveice placements recommended by Kyou.

I assume, if you're trying to make it any real distance in sudden death, you're going to be using support. I usually place the fire base under the bridge at the front of the base (where the bots come from initially). Keep it hacked, keep the lvl 3 rocket turrets up front hacked and anything coming from that side should get hammered pretty well.

Other than that, I would suggest using teammates who know the plan. Some guy running around, building shaveice turretts everywhere can really mess up your plan.

I can say the highscores (Currently wave 1016  ) were made using 2 tanks.

I got to 124 as a gunner, and I made everything a lazer blazer until it blew up, then made them rockits.
