It would be cool if Uber provided an option to build a certain turrent on all available nubs. If anything, just for me. *I would use it every time. Also, an option to dismantle turrents would be cool. Make it only dismantle-able by the owner, and dismantling could either refund you for half the cost of the turrent or cost maybe $25-$50 to dismantle. I could care less which, it'd just be a helpful option to have, and could help with both Crossfire AND Blitz (I find myself building the wrong one every once in a while). Assists from turrents you partially built/hacked would be cool, but I don't expect it. Would encourage building, though. *Disclaimer: OP is being serious. He really would use this every time.
Turret refunding could be exploited. If my turret was about to be destroyed, I'd just get a quick refund on it. Cash for me, no cash for you.
I guess that makes sense. I suppose spending money on dismantling it would be the best option, for there would be no real way to exploit it (at least, not that I can think of).
I think he means some sort of thing that would allow you to say, build a LaserBlazer on every available nub at once. Like a master switch that allowed you to build multiple turrets at once.
I remember I posted an idea about "dismantling" turrets awhile back. I think being able to do it to any turret. Say like someone built a Longshot on Steel Peel and I want to replace it, I should be able to "ask" him if I can and pay him like half the price of the turret or something. Who knows if that would even work.
That would be kinda cool. I can picture an assassin coming into a base while a support prepares the trap...
Yes, that's exactly what I meant. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. The reason this came to mind was because of all the forum-goers that claim turrents are less than useful because they are killed so easily. I'd like to hear someone say that when I have six 3.3 Lazer Blazers simultaneously spawn. An interesting idea, but I can just imagine those kind of people that plagued TF2 and similar games, going around the WHOLE game screaming: "MEDIC! MEDIC! MEDIC! MEDIC! MEDIC! MEDIC! MEDIC! MEDIC!" Only with MNC, it'd be something like: "Get ridda dis, bruddah! Dismantle dis, bruddah! Build a longshot, bruddah!" God...
I posted this idea on another thread in this forum. I also think the best way to deal with people making poor turret choices is to allow allied pros to build over any other allied turret in the same way, so long as the new turret costs more than the existing turret. I strongly disagree that other Pros should be able to dismantle turrets or earn credits from doing so, but building over them with better turrets makes sense to me. The easiest way to stop people making bad choices with the placement of Longshot turrets would be for the guys at UBER to take away the Longshot option for certain turret points, like pretty much all of steel peel and all the turret points around the moneyball that fire up onto a walkway.
common Red Alert 2 stradegy. ask Scathis its worth more being sold for cash just before the final artillery shell is put into it, than it is as flying chunks of exploding shrapnel which dont build or help in any way.
I think I still have Red Alert 2 around here somewhere. I loved those tanks that turned into trees when they weren't moving, and the defensive towers that "linked" together to fire a sweet looking beam. Fixed in the new C&C anyway. Selling things now has a cooldown. Anyone play that god awful new C&C4?
