I managed to get a hold of the Kickstarter Com's model (which was in the files in early alpha) and have been trying to figure out how to get it in game. Here's the procedure I'm trying to use to get bones on it and stuff. 1. It's a bit smaller than modern coms so I have to upscale it. 2. I copy the Alpha com and remove the model but keep the armatures, adjusting positioning of armatures to match the arms. 3. I export it and then reimport it. Result? Model is as small as it was originally. Armatures from lower half are moved off to the side. Obviously it has no animations when I put it ingame and the scale changes did not take affect ingame. Any ideas how I fix this?
The blender exporter doesn't handle rotated bones at this stage. My 3D math sucks too much to know how to do it
Is there any possibility you could give me the model? Edit: I might even be able to get it to work, I'll have to edit the model a bit to fit the skeleton though...
Nope, that wouldn't work, you have to do it the other way. Modifying the mesh to fit the armature is what you need to do. Mike
