So I just slammed my first moon into my first planet-because the resources I spent on those engines and economy to support the construction of those engines couldn't have been used for something like, I dunno, bombers or orbiting lasers-to destroy a single enemy commander. And, quite frankly, I was disappointed that it didn't annihilate the planet, only making a big crater.

Yes, I know, it's the second beta build, but wouldn't it be amazing to, at some point in the future, be able to destroy a planet, then fight on the dozen oddly shaped shards that comes from it?

To turn those into more rockets?

Or maybe some of the buildings that were on the planet somehow survived, or buildings on the moon that was used as a projectile survived, and you could keep using those.

That would be quite awesome yes ^^ and I think in the future they will make the bigger planets beable to be moved :) and when that happens i expect planets to be completly destroyed when hit by another planet but a asteroid should not completely destroy a planet :)

Keep in mine it is the first implementation of planet smashing. It'll be refined and expanded on over the course fo the Beta.

Yeah, I know, I think it's well done right now as is.
