Trouble with the assassin swapping during reload

Almost 100% of the time my shurikens are emptied I cannot switch to my blade until after it completely finishes reloading, especially when it has to restart because I started sprinting! I have had this happen enough to me that it's annoying, especially when I get front grappled by another assassin and have to reload before I can do anything to fight back. It won't even let me grapple in this state...

I apologize if there's a thread covering this, I searched and found nothing after 3 pages.

It does this to any class if you are grappled during a reload as well. You are reloading, get grappled, have to reload again, and then you can fight. Uber should look at it for the title update.

It makes sense to me the way it is. If you are grappled during reloading, you have not fully reloaded, therefor you have to start again?

But you can't even switch weapons! That is what isn't right. I mean, one should be able to easily swap the empty gun for a different one (unless that one's empty too). :lol:

Exactly. When the shuriken gun is emptied you are forced to reload and can't switch weapons until you stand completely still and reload which by that moment means someone is most likely shooting you point blank in the back. I've made a topic or two on this but had no answer so hopefully well get a "We meant for this to happen." or "It just didn't occur to us." soon. Either way I've died many times because I can't switch to my dagger/sword and lunge away.

It sucks indeed.

Bumping this, as this is easily the most frustrating thing about playing as an assassin. Having to reload a weapon before you switch it (and being unable to grapple while the weapon is empty) is pretty counterintuitive IMO.

It would be fantastic to get a response from UBER on this.

Ah nice bump. I would also at least like to see this addressed in a certain fashion. Bug, intended, or not.
