I've seen TVTropes.org referenced a few times, wanted to know if anyone was a Troper. Given enough interest, I might try and make a MNC RP from what we know of the world outside Monday Night Combat itself. The clones that escaped and built their own identities.
The only clones i believe they had an issue with was the Assassins. Outside the arena it sounds like a pretty miserable place, but that would be where devs come in and tell us whats what. They only got 15 minutes to get home from the arena for government mandated curfew!!!
That's why I think the MNC- verse is a great start. So little is known, it can be whatever you want. Say they wanted some star players, they started giving clones personalities.
RPs are scary. EDIT: Aw hell. How about this? I make a troperriffic character for somebody else to use? I'll post one shortly in a new reply. I fear I'd lean too heavily towards wish fulfillment and all that other kind of bad writing crap were I to actually write any kind of a story

AmbiguouslyBrown ArtificialLimbs: Both legs and her right arm, artificial organics. DarkSkinnedRedhead: It's unclear if it's her natural color or not. FinishingMove: Headcrab enemy in Charge 3, detonate the bomb with a shot from the grenade launcher as they fall out of the arena. GlassCannon: No armor endorsement. HartmanHips / HeroicBuild / ShesGotLegs: Long and muscular, helpful with the running and jumping things. KickChick: Averted. She doesn't use her legs except for moving. LastOfHisKind: Female Assault, one of the few surviving non-cloned pros. LeeroyJenkins: Zigzag. It's her style of combat and though it usually results in failure, occasionally she can wreak enough havoc or be enough of a distraction for her team to win. MarySue: Subversion. All her quirks, psychological problems, and addiction issues make her TheLoad for the Icemen. MilesGloriosus: Zigzag. She did lead the Icemen to a playoff championship, but her juice addiction has effectively turned her into just as much of a liability as a useful team member. MismatchedEyes: Subversion. Her eyes are actually brown, but she wears a red contact over her left eye and a yellow contact over her right eye. NeverLiveItDown: Her Leeroy Jenkins tendencies. PsychoSerum: Juice is this for her. She is physically addicted to it. Coming off a juice high leaves her broken and useless. She's not much better WITH juice, as it drives her to try and kill enemy and ally alike. RedEyesTakeWarning: Doubly subverted. She wears a red contact in her left eye, but she's actually just loaded down with SuicidalOverconfidence. RedRightHand: Multiply subverted. Her left arm is her last natural limb, but abusing juice has caused her to permanently have crimson TronLines on it; visible through her uniform if she's nearly ready to juice. This symbol of corruption is a constant reminder to her teammates that she's only useful when juiced and is a threat during said times. However, her foolish loner tendencies keep her away from her allies when she juices...Most of the time. Should probably lose the arm at some point. SignatureMove: Straight/subverted, NeverLiveItDown. She has three. One is using her bomb to give an ExplosionPropulsion effect to increase the speed and reach of her Charge 2 while also igniting the target. Another is using Charge 1 to slide under a foe a headcrab them. Last is her finishing move... SplitPersonality: Straight, ego/id. Completely driven by indiscriminatory rage of her id while juiced, more pragmatic but still a psychological mess of insecurities while not on a juice high. SuperPoweredEvilSide: While juiced. TheLoad: She's more problematic than beneficial, easily.
