Well, he doesn't do an awful lot of Starcraft any more. Now his channel mainly consists of the WTF is...videos. That is series of videos where he does first impressions on (mostly) indie games

You both wrong.
His main job (yes, it's his job) is making video-fisr-impressions about various video games (new ones).
StarCraft 2 is his passion hobby and he is so good at commentating matches that he get invites to most (correct me if i wrong) SC2 championships to commentate.
He is going to commentate on MLG Raleigh (going to happen this week, 26-28 august).

Well, what's most important is that he has 755.000 subscribers who will all learn about PA.... and since all of his subscribers are gamers and most probably have interest in strategy games that's probably gonna be a very good thing for this project.

Srsly? you labeled TB as SC2 caster? Honestly?

Of the many many things TB does casts for, this is probably the least relevant. If you do a count of his videos, I think you will find that his WTF is videos vastly outnumber any content he ever puts out on SC2. They are also much more prominently displayed on his webpage.

That being said. I love TB. I would label him as the single most influential web caster in the entire gaming community. at well over 700k subscribers, he is rather a big deal.

But he is not Penny Arcade. Penny Arcade is by far the most influential website in the entire gaming community. I can only guess at how many subscribers they actually have because they no longer post such information. Suffice to say they have a lot of readers. And then you also have the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) which has basically replaced E3 as the single largest gaming CON in the entire world. Think about that for a minute and you should start to realize just how large Penny Arcade has become. Do I even need to mention Childs Play?

And yes of course, for any of you still living under a rock, Penny Arcade has put their support out there for Planetary Annihilation. As has Notch creator of Minecraft. As has Kotaku. There is no shortage of big internet names supporting this project.

So having said all that, while I am a big TB fan, I am neither surprised or excited about him doing a video about PA because that, was inevitable. It was assumed. It was guaranteed. He does a series of videos called "WTF is . . . ?" where he reviews video games with a special focus on video games made by indie developers. To doubt for even a minute that he was going to do a video on PA is like doubting the sun is going to rise tomorrow. It's insane.

Yea, well not to be mean or anything but you really should check out his main site and see just what all he actually casts. The guy cranks out roughly two videos a day, every day, even weekends. He updates his SC2 content infrequently at best.

Frankly, much as I enjoy listening to him, as SC2 casters go, TotalBiscuit is minor leagues. He is overshadowed by the many many other casters, many of which also actually know how to play SC2 making them much more qualified to give intelligent commentary about game play.

As a gaming caster in general however. Totabiscuit is HUGE.

I can just remember that TotalBiscuit sometimes streamed random games of him rushing BC, which was funny. I think he is the only gold player I have ever seen to actually get thousands of people watching his ladder games xD

So today is the day of the interview (not the video though).

I have no idea who TotalBiscuit is. Apparently this is important... Well awesome, more publicity is always good
