why do you think im posting this? i could just use my razer onza instead, but when i did that i felt a bit dirty. i want to be able to use a mouse and keyboard, but i suck. my reaction time is about doubled from on console due to unfamiliarity :
Play a singleplayer game on the highest difficulty. Not MNC blitz, something like HL2 or whatever. The highest difficulty thing will make you rage for a while, but you'll learn to adapt faster that way. At that point you should be familiar enough with the control style to not suck. Then you can merrily join and learn the controls specific to this game in a few hours. The only thing you'll be missing is the turncharging, and that's handled by waving the mouse rapidly. After you do all that it's just practice. I wouldn't suggest starting in a multiplayer environment to adjust to the m+kb. You're at too much of a disadvantage.
it is all about just practising and getting the feel for it, took me about 2-3 months to get OK and i still say OK because i ******* suck at sniping
http://www.xcm.cc/xfps_5.0.htm Please get off the console's balls. It isn't their fault you have ego issues that you must stroke with hardware that is clearly comphensating for either manhood and/or skills. This age old battle needs to end. Games are games. Computer players are not inherently better. Console players aren't any better. ON TOPIC: Control setup can be a hassle. Being 4 skills makes it more difficult than most games played on PC. I heard Killen say before that his movement keys are "YGHJ", and this sounded damn good to me. This gives you tons of keys to use for skills and menus on your left hand's pinkey. I am sure you have no problem moving around and aiming at the same time though, right? Lol.
That's very biased. Not everyone is as insane as you, you know. Damn you raped me as a tank last night.
I agree, haters should stop hating, though I dislike using a controller for shooter games, let alone RTS games, but other times like platformer games, the controller is a boon.
