Thoughts on the Tank

    I love the tank. Love playing it. I realize, however, that it is best-used against bots and turrets rather than most pros, since on average a Tank is outclassed by most pros. Even at its ideal close-range, most other classes have answers that the Tank can do little about (I'm looking at you, Support shotgun!).

    I realize that the close range damage will hopefully be mitigated somewhat by the patch when it finally comes out, since higher Death Blossom damage with a full clip will be very nice. But since the Tank is so slow it's too easy to get or stay out of range. You have the Railgun, but that's not too useful on the medium or light classes.

    I have one simple proposal as an adjustment for the Tank, though I realize this may have been suggested elsewhere: give the Tank a slow effect. I see this being possible in a few ways:

    1. Slight slow effect from being lit on fire by the Jetgun. This would make it difficult to escape a tank if they manage to catch you with their Jetgun.
    2. Added as a Product Grenade effect, possibly at level 3. This allow Tanks to use their grenade to help catch enemy pros.

    This was my suggestion for the tank, give the product grenade L3 a slow effect as well as its bomlets, that way it wont affect blitz 'cause the bots sit still anyway but will improve his odds in xfire. Combine that with a slight (maybe only equivelant to RoF bronze) dps increase to the jetgun and were in business. Maybe make the hit detection with the railgun on thin characters better too?

    Best suggestion I've heard for the tank. I don't think that it will affect the game too much. I never quite understood why the tank had a slow effect while the gunner does.

    Also, i suggested the slow bomb in the other tank thread a week ago. Im just claiming intellectual rights :ugeek:

    My main NOW is the tank. Love the class. I personally do not think it needs anything.

    HOWEVER! If you get a tank to receive a buff in a patch, I wouldn't complain! ;)

    As the passive skill is upgraded, make afterburn damage per second higher. Right now I think "afterburn" dmg is too low.

    ex: 3/5/7 dmg/sec

    nah I get plenty of after burn kills, that's what your grenade and rail gun are for anyways rail gun is great for dropping low hp fleeing enemy's and its not like they will survive after u get charge3 anyways

    Doesn't need a slow imo, the tanks low speed is its one drawback

    Just because you don't have a problem with afterburn, doesn't mean it isn't a problem.

    I'm all for a afterburn increase with the passive. Doesn't the passive right now only give you health?

    It only gives hp, and not all that much hp either.
