I've never been one to really be in a gaming group, as usually I Pug, but I think this game might actually get me to clan up. However, we don't really have any structure for it yet. So my thoughts: 1. Should we have a clans board? As in, a specific board where clans are allowed to have a single post with their gaming group, for visibility. Hosting stuff off site is all well and good, but without a means to organize here, it will probably end up feeling disconnected a bit. 2. In game clan integration? Mind you, this is probably far off, but I think that having in game organization will be a big step to helping the community feel together. Being able to organize and be associated with a group in game will be a big step toward getting these galactic war scenarios going. Heck, one thing they could do is allow different clans to send challenges to another clan in Galactic war, then let them organize a fight against each other. That would be...well, neat. And who's with me in hoping that someone organizes a Cybran Nation clan?
World in Conflict implemented the clan feature very good. You could challenge other clans ingame etc.
I think it would really help grow the community if we were able to fight in game in the same colors scheme, as our clan mates. Online communities that had a focus on team play have a lot more longevity than those that revolved around 1v1.
battle.net 2.0 is a joke, the koreans have more advanced features on their private starcraft 1 servers
Well an easy toolkit to create clan pages and forums with PA(webkit ui) would be great. This would ease it up for a lot of people not familiar with html. Also it could encourage not to pirate the game (if the page is stored on official server, with authentication only not pirate could have access) This could esay be done by the community, given uber provides space for some pages+forums on their servers, maybe also mumble, ts.
