Well I really should say completely just STOP WORKING. I know its an alpha and it crashes like trying to play fallout modded quite often. Im just wondering how the game eats my 16gb of RAM so easily as well as my CPU. Is the game only running on 1 core at the moment? if so then i have to tone down the grand scale I've been playing.

First of all can you please edit your post and upload DxDiag.txt as attachment? As you might big amount of plain text make it harder to read your topic.

Actually for more people this alpha is very stable. I'ts not optimized, but very stable.

So let's try to find out what's happen on your hardware. Do you get any particular error when it's crash?

Game actually only use CPU when it's generate planets: on start of game or inside planet editor. When you playing it's shouldn't eat lot of CPU because all simulation done on remote server.

Also if you playing just normal games it's shouldn't eat so much ram, are you sure that it's exactly PA use it?
Actually you can check this topic (last two pages):

It's clearly show what memory usage game have.

Game actually not doing much calculations on your computers, it's just "download" most of information from UberEnt servers.

What it does is according to the task manager takes up about 4-6 million K.
that only happens when i even try to have a decent battle in Arma 3. Or playing games with such a drain on memory that my PC is strained.

If you mean 4-6GB it's totally okay. This game using lot of RAM by it's nature, but it's not related to crash you experience if it's not use 100% of RAM.

    Now please explain in details:
What happen? Your computer freeze and you need to use power/reset button?

Or game window freeze and you unable to move camera? Did you get any error message?

Or in-game time freeze while you able to control camera?
