According to the reviews, the card is NOT HD and customer service sucks. Other than that, the card is great if you don't order it expecting HD capability.

If you find something in that budget and like it, let me know. I'm looking too.

Be a man and get something that records at least around the quality of an HDPVR.

Get one that lets you read the kill feed with ease.

I own a PVR and a dazzle and it all comes down to what you want to do with it. Make lots of videos of gameplay for subscribers and build a youtube up? Get a PVR. HD quality goes a long way. Whether or not you think it matters, the majority of Youtube is all HD PVR quality, on things like Machinima and commentaries. People will complain about quality or comment on how good it is.
If you just looking for something to record funny stuff, glitches or short videos, a dazzle is fine. If you have a good computer with all the right programs you can get good quality with a dazzle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEJhNr6STDc
Also how much are you willing to spend. If you going to be getting a PVR, your going to need the right programs (Sony Vegas etc.) which you can download for free I suppose. You need to check out the hauppage website as well for settings and stuff. I advise a PVR because despite what most say it's actually damn easy to use, it' just my PC really screwed me over. MAKE SURE YOUR COMPUTER IS ABLE FIRST.

Yeah, you need a good computer first. Not even good, but great, or amazing. And you need lots of hard drive space, HD video is huuuuuuge. As for what to get, Happauge works, Black Magic works too if you're wanting better quality + an internal capture device (as in it goes in your computer). If you only use HDMI, you're going to have to spend more money on something that converts the signal, like an HD Fury (look it up).

Another small thing, if you record in HD and upload it, even on 360p (default) it looks a lot cleaner than if you were to just record it from SD.

So in essence, you're looking to spend about $200 if you want basic HD and have a good computer, about $400 if you want HD and need to convert from HDMI, and about $1000 if you have none of the above.

I'll post my dxdiag for you guys to tell me if it's not powerful enough.

Also, I just use the HD cables for xbox to TV (IE Red blue and green picture cables and red and white cables for sound)

You're good. Basically all I needed to see was the RAM because if anyone has 4GB, they have nice computers. But I did skim over the rest and you should be fine.

Also, just kinda a "The More You Know", but those are component cables. red/white/yellow are composite, or "RCA". And then there's HDMI which is pretty self explanatory, and then VGA, which is generally what computer monitors use (usually colored blue).
