Hey, could anyone explain what the difference is between winning and losing a Crossfire game. I'm guessing it's the amount of money you make at the end, or am I missing something? The reason I ask is because, to me, it doesn't seem to be a big deal whether you win or lose. And it looks like there's many people out there who feel the same way, judging by all the 'post your K/D' topics. The goal of the game is to take down the other team's Moneyball, yet the real (hidden) goal seems to be to get as many kills as you can while having the lowest amount of deaths possible. Even the achievements don't encourage you to win. There's no 'win Crossfire games x amount of times' or 'destroy x amount of bots during a Crossfire game'. For a team based game, the focus seems to lie heavily on the solo player. So I ask. Is there a reason to win? Other than, of course, bragging rights.
Lose all you want then, I'll keep mopping up the wins. Edit: K/D's CAN determine if you win. Why do you think the team that goes negative normally loses? Because the other team is killing them, and dying less. Which, get this, makes their K/D better.
It wasn't a stab at the people posting their K/D's. It was an honest question. What is the difference between winning and losing? What is the incentive for winning?
I'm not sure of the amount you get for winning but I have seen the loosing team get a lot more cash than the winners. There is no achievement for 100 wins etc so I'm not too sure.
Technically it is a "sport" That is like asking Kobe Bryant why he plays his heart out. He tries to make as many 3's as he can right? But who cares if he wins, he made those 3's! People want to do as good as they possible can, and tell other people they did good, and still win. Just because people are going for good K/D's doesn't mean they want to win. Hell I'm sure the people going for K/D's are playing more cautious and are more prepared for what's going on.
Well, I guess it's something. I think that, if they would make it so the losing side only gains half of what they normally would, it would actually make people fight for a win instead of gaining highest killcount. You know, use turrets more and occasionally send in extra bots. Ofcourse, everyone should play the way the want to, but I'd love to have something worth fighting for. The adrenaline of winning feels almost non-existent. At least, that's the idea I get. Ah well, the game has only been out for not even a week. Maybe I'm just imagining things.
