I'll start, being totally clueless about PC gaming

Will most players be using controllers? Will this even support controllers? If so, what's good and cheap?

    No.

Most likely but I would recommend mouse/keyboard if you can get used to them.

    Sorry, dunno.

    Really? Mouse and keyboard?

I figured most people used controllers for shooters nowadays. Steam page says it'll support controllers

It'll be hilarious to try and get this running. I've a 1.6GHZ processor, with 1GB RAM. I'll still buy it anyway, I'll eventually get a decent pc that's able to run it

Seriously? Mouse and Keyboard > Controller every time. You could get away with playing support with controller, but yeah the accuracy of a keyboard and mouse is crazy compared to that of a controller. Why do you think every console shooter has auto aim?

Regardless of what some console players might try to tell you about "different but equal", mouse is a far superior aiming device. People used joysticks back in the days of DOOM. Then in DN3D and Quake, people started to realize that they could beat the pants off of joystick users with the keyboard+mouse. Controller is just more popular now because consoles have more mass appeal, and that's the only thing available.

Also the kb+mouse combination opens up many more usable buttons, so you don't have to do ridiculous things like stop aiming to press the jump button!

I dare you to try using a controller in a PC shooter. MNC might not be so bad because it's a pretty slow game, but show me someone who's competitive in Quake3 (Quake Live now) using a controller, and I'll show you a flying pink rhinoceros.

Do you already have a wired 360 controller laying around?

If you have a controller use it if you want, Players that are good with controls will be just as skilled as mouse and keyboard players. It's all about preference.
Because the developers are PC gamers/not gamers and have trouble playing without it.

It seriously annoys the hell out of us because it messes with your shots and it's not needed.

Not every console shooter has it, But most do. Lucky MNC isn't too bad.

We will support game pads and you can just use a Xbox 360 Controller for Windows (aka, wired controller).

Most people (The PC crowd at least) will all be using mouse and keyboard which will mean a higher amount of accuracy due to the DPI on most mice these days.

I'll pretend to be Scathis's admin assistant.

Scathis neither confirms nor denies any balance changes to the PC version.

sniper as-is would be an absolute BEAST on PC, and the trailer seems to make a point of it

It's great seeing gaming world's collide; stardock & GPG forum users on MNC forums...

I'd like to know if the PC version will see more PC-like reticles, coz those big round reticles common with 360 titles aren't my cup of tea. Something smaller and more precise would be great (assuming that fits with the gameplay).

Will the field of vision change for the PC version? I always get dizzy if the game has a low fov.

Yea I know :p It's really annoying, it's probably because they just suck at pc gaming :p And own noobs who suck at console gaming :D That way they think they are pro with controllers.

    It's preference guys.

Of course they are gonna suck at PC games because they are better with a control.

I honestly see better pubbers on console than on PC though.
