It all began when Bob Berry, recovering from alcoholism after being left by his girlfriend for a woman, met John Comes, a CIA investigator tracking Bob across the world. When he finally caught Bob, Bob explained he wasnt really a serial killer, and it became obvious that they had a lot in common. They decided to start a game company called Uber Entertainment and headed back to America, along with Bobs new Japanese girlfriend. At the airport, they met Chandana Ekanayake, who was selling bacon, donuts, and churros at a stand. It was discovered that all 3 of them like to eat food, and Mr. Ekanayake joined the team. Unfortunately Mr. Ekanayake was a slave for the Yakuza, and just before their flight, they were surrounded by ninja. The security guards were able to hold back most of them, until finally one of them lay waste every security guard in Japan (just for good measure). As nothing stood between him and the team, things looked grim, until, out of nowhere, Rafael Calonzo Jr.mild-mannered artist by day, superhero by nightappeared. The two of them had a legendary battle in which both of them became legends. When it was discovered that they both had being a legend in common, they decided to join the team, and so the legendary ninja Aung Zaw Oo returned with them to America. Back in America, the team grew, until finally Bob realized his whole team was male. We should try to even out the male/female ratio here, Bob said. His search lead him to the world-famous stunt actress, drag racer, and part-time rock star, Carolyn Law, who was at the time doing the stunts for Duke Nukem Forever. Bob decided that no more females would be necessary, because Carolyn alone balanced out the ratios, and without their main stunt woman, Duke Nukem Forever would eventually take forever to be released. The team worked hard and finally released a game called Monday Night Combat. The game was received well by the public in general, but it had a few bugs. The team put up a forum where people could report bugs. As bug reports came the team happily fixed them all, giving unprecedented user support. People reported about all the troubles they had in their games. Uber Entertainment was quick to patch them out, but more and more reports kept coming. People started to report things that were not even related to Monday Night Combat. People reported that their power was out, or that their dinner was cold. Still, Uber Entertainment happily solved everyones problems, sending repair men to peoples homes, as well as chefs, taxis, electricians, etc. Reports grew more and more outrageous, until Uber Entertainment was winning wars, solving world hunger, and more, until one day someone reported that Osama bin Laden should not still be alive. Uber Entertainment immediately solved this problem, but realized that if they were going to continue solving the worlds problems they would need a bigger team. They hired a group of teenagers, unaware that they were in fact insurgents who were seeking revenge for Osama. As the group was sent out to repair electronics, serve dinner, etc., they were secretly executing their counter to the War on Terror: the War of Error. While repairing electronics, they secretly placed devices on them which would, at the scheduled time, cause them all to malfunction in any number of ways. When the scheduled time came, celebrations for the insurgents were short. All forms of electronics went haywire, attacking their owners, just as they had planned. But the machines turned on them too, and they, along with most of humanity, were wiped out. The machines realized they still needed humans, so some were kept in jars and used as batteries. Daily routines quickly became dull and the machines realized they needed entertainment. Humans were cloned and bred specifically for fighting. The staged fights eventually became what we know today as Monday Night Combat. And that is the true story of how Monday Night Combat came to be. L. Spiro
Wait, did Bob's Japanese girlfriend join the team? If so, there wouldn't have been such a gender imbalance. I also didn't realise Eka came from such a humble start. Good job, Mr. Ekanayake.
She didnt join the team. She headed back to America with them and married him, and later became president. But thats another (true) story. L. Spiro
L. Spiro wins the award for the best FanFic (or FanNonFic ) is the history of them. I am going to tweet this to them. They HAVE to read this. It's freaking awesome! Although as soon as ninja was mentioned I knew where that was going.
Glad everyone enjoyed it. Mr. Ekanayakes roots may not be so humble as you think. But the story of the exploits that eventually caused him to become mixed up with the Yakuza, after toppling the Russian mafia single-handedly, are another story. And since Golden Week is over, it will have to wait. L. Spiro
