Potential spoiler: Main character's motives revealed.
too many spoilersss!!!!!!!! (stoped watching halfway through) jesus why do they do this in trailers!???
It's literally one plot-point mate.
that's an interesting take on why the death star has this big glaring weakness!!!!
I wanted it to be a big reveal during the movie!
I REALLY don't want that to be the case.
"lol jks gonna put a glaring weakness in and nobody's gonna notice teehee".
The Empire was arrogant. They didn't think a lowly fighter would ever get near that exhaust port, let alone manage to fire any ordnance down it. They knew, they just didn't think it could happen.
.... meh .... after the 2nd trilogy and force awakens i feel MUCH less enthusiastic bout star wars .... so i am not expecting much from rogue one to be honest ...
Thrawn has shown up a few times in the Star Wars: Rebels TV show. The show itself is rather okaaayy not as good at SW:TCW but it's alright. Picking up in S2 over S1. Anyway- Thrawn is in S3 and he's displayed really well!
I just watched Rogue One and to be honest, it's a really good movie. It takes a while to gain momentum and the start is a bit weird and jagged but once it gets going...it really gets going.
It does many things well, but what i really liked most was that it showed that neither the Rebels nor the Empire were truly a unified force, and that people like Jyn Erso kinda felt like Empire or Republic really made no difference.
It nicely added a bit of lost mythology with the Kyber crystals and it did a thing i won't spoil that i haven't seen in a while in a movie.
So yea. The Force Awakens was to show that Star Wars can be good again. Rogue One is to show it can be great again.
