Ok, so this happened. Heres the bug, the nukes where fired and would go and orbit another planet to *slingshot* them out of there, but they actually never left The pretty part is that it gave a really nice ring around the planet....we really should have rings on planets to give them more flavor =)
Nice pictures. I saw this bug mentioned somewhere on teh Steam Forums, but without picture or replay ID to verify it. I agree that it does look kinda nice. Any chance you got a replay from this match? Could be interesting for debugging.
Confirmed. Had this with 4 nukes I launched => I have lost because of this (or the disappointment it caused) Had this with orbital fabricator too. They were circling fast speed around the planet. => I lost because my only plan was to leave the planet, so I was overpowered by ennemies while not being able to leave. Really annoying and gamebreaking bug. Seems to happen when there are 2 or 3 planets in orbit of a smaller one which is in orbit around the sun.
I had it with a group of 14 space fighters that I meant to send on a nearby planet to defend stuff. They were stuck circling the planet during the entire game after this. This was on a local server.
I haven't seen this but in quite a while. But boy, it does look sweet. That custom skybox is what completes it.
This happens all the time in my experience. Last night we had a game where literally hundreds of orbital units along with a bunch of nukes got stuck orbiting a planet. Looked crazy. Sometimes nukes and units get stuck inside planets too somehow.
