Last week AMD released updated drivers for their video cards, Catalyst 11.2. These appear to have solved the prior issues people were experiencing with crashing when running versions between 10.11 and 11.1 and we highly recommend people upgrade to the new version.

However there's one thing we'd love to hear about from users. If you experienced issues with flickering smoke effects do the new drivers solve those issues for you? It's something we never internally were able to reproduce internally as not all AMD cards were affected and we never got a hardware sample that exhibited the issue.

For GeForce 7XXX users with black sky, we know, we've reproduced it, we haven't found a solution.

Just updated and played for a few minutes. I did get one of the black texture issues again. I'll let you know if anything has changed once I have played a bit more.

Using HD4870, and never had any graphical errors or problems. My only problem is how after I play for so long, say an hour, my sound starts crackling up to the point where I need to restart the game. I know nothing is overheating, because i keep all fans at 100% and monitor temps.

Raedyn - were you crashing with the 10.10 drivers as well?

No crashing, but still black textures on explosions.

5770, 11.2 driver only, no CCC.

Try turning off the AI, that seems to solve some crashing issues I've seen.

Wait, so it's Nvidia & ATI drivers that are affected with issues...hmm, seems odd that 2 different companies both made a mistake...

I still have black explosions/assassin dust/etc. on my XFX HD5770. Drivers didn't change anything that I noticed for running MNC. If it helps at all, I do not get the black artifacts when I lower the settings. Only on high world detail do the artifacts appear for me.

No, perhaps not, but I've bought plenty of games that work.
