It has murdered this game. I have a my Xbox directly connected to my modem and lag has never been a problem for me in any online game CoD, Halo, NFS none of them have made me rage from lag or made me get rid of the game. MNC however has. The fact that the game causes me to lag from doing what it's suppose to do, like have players shoot at each other, the annihilator, ejectors, the list goes on. Nothing I do seems to work half the time. Hacks? Get "eaten". Grapples? Why bother. Bullets? Unless you're the Gunner or host its "spray and pray". Head shots? Good luck. It's gotten worse with every update since the first one. In my opinion the game never needed and update. It was amazing when I first played it, but with each update it got worse and now all I do is get mad at it. I'm still planning to lurk the forums in hope of you guys fixing it, but it probably won't be cause its a "lag related issue". Who knows maybe I'm just complaining of nothing and I'm just always playing with those people stealing internet from the 4th house down. It's still pretty sad that for me to enjoy a match I HAVE to be host. No online game should be like that. So for now, fare the well Monday Night Combat.
It has nothing to do with our updates and has to do with amount of players playing and the amount of concurrent games being played. There are less people playing now then there were when the game first came out so the quality of games depending on where you live is affected.
I see. Guess I'm just in a bad area. Well hopefully it gets better around me, because I really love your game. It saddens me that I have to quit playing it for such a stupid reason.
Do you happen to be playing in split screen mode? My brother and I had been mostly playing split screen up until the Spunky Cola DLC came out, but the lag has been terrible ever since the update. The first day the update was available I thought it was due to more players/everybody downloading the update, but it has persisted ever since in split screen mode. As soon as we switch to single-player mode it runs smooth as silk. It seems to be worst on the Spunky Cola map itself- perhaps due to the amount of bots & pros in close proximity?
I find this hard to swallow. Before the dlc this game ran as smooth as a baby's bottom for me. Now I'm getting randomly hit with terrible framerate slowdown and lag. Update problem or not, there IS some kind of problem that needs to be fixed.
idk, i would say that most hosts that have better connection usually run smoother. so keep clicking on and off quick match, untilyou get host. i usually host great now, but if i use too much internet on other devices then my party notices lag abundancy, so we back out and they get host with their connection. sad game, but it should get better over time, like eka said.
