I think the HDR effect is absolute interesting. But I have som problems seeing anything but the icons on the dark side of the planet. Is it only my screen that is to dark? I also think there is a little to much effect on the day side of the planet. I often turn of the effect because the effect feels to disturbing. On the other hand I like the potensial of the effect.

My graphic drivers are up to date.

I've noticed that on my monitor it easily causes "burnout", where everything is white, and can't see anything. It also have a tendency to be too black. And with fluctuating brightness, like with water, the whole HDR fluctuates with it, which is a bit annoying.

I think they should maybe limit the range a bit, or tweak the curve. I like the effect in general, but right now it change things too much for my taste.

I'm wondering what kinda tools they have at their disposal for setting the range in HDR.

I heard it was set on the brightest pixel, but this picture is good evidence that they do not do that.

i find the light levels are great, i also like that when you zoom in the light adjusts. Your screen might be too dark or you are not used to it. It is far better now than it was with the dark side looking like shadowless cloudy day.

HDR makes stuff look supercool but also creates the "video effect". As if you are watching a video of you playing (because of the darkness).

But yea, it looks amazing and i think a few layers of polish will make it GODLIKE.
